Nutty's "09"th birthday party

We celebrated Nutty's birthday this weekend with a fabulous surprise brunch hosted by Jackie. There was wonderful food, Bloody Mary's, Mimosas, and really wonderful people. Nutty was so happy and we had a wonderful time.
Here is Nutty with her brother Jordan. Uncle Jordan and his girlfriend Sarah drove all the way from Philadelphia to celebrate. I think that was really the icing on the cake for the party. I wish they lived closer because they are so much fun!!!!
Jessica came with her adorable daughter Lorelei and her sister Jan and mom, Pat. Here is me, Jessica, Lorelei, and Nana. Poor Jessica had a tumble coming in to the party and banged up her elbow pretty bad. She was protecting Lorelei though who didn't have a scratch!! You go super mom!
The peanut gallery...a.k.a. Pam, Connie, and Jackie. These three are definitely the hostesses with the mostesses...and the most hilarious trio ever!

Greek Festival and Gamecocks---one "G" is much better than the other

We went to the Greek Festival this weekend and basically ate our way through it. Randy got a gyro and spanekopita (sp?) Me, being the pig that I am, got the huge Greek dinner with baked chicken, orzo, spanekopita, bread, and salad. Then the two of us split Greek french fries and then a baklava sundae. We topped it off with a delightful Greek beer. Delaney was highly entertained there in the Baby Bjorn and danced to the Greek music. She loved it.
Morgan wore her cheerleading outfit to root for the Gamecocks against Wofford. Thank God the Gamecocks won. What a boring game. Ho hum.
Dave holds the Roberts girls while Davis hams it up for the camera.
I can't resist taking pictures of Olive doing her dead roach imitation.

Delaney and Cocky

The Gamecocks lost to Georgia but that didn't stop the Cocks biggest fan from getting pumped up.

Super girl

Delaney had her 4 month check up this week. She is now 24 1/2 inches long and 13 1/2 pounds. Dr. Moore said she is "tall and lean" so I am definitely thinking future tennis player/supermodel. Delaney has been quite the social butterfly lately and doesn't want to miss a thing. She "talks" non-stop and is making raspberries and laughing real belly laughs. She's my little super girl.

Delaney enjoys her new jumping seat. She loved being able to jump up and down and fly through the air with the greatest of ease.

Delaney LOVES to stand up and will do so for long periods of time. Here she is standing at her activity mat, holding onto it and standing by herself. I believe she is going to be an early walker. Thank God she won't get that not walking thing from me. Apparently I didn't walk until I was like, 4 or something, by the way my mom tells it. I preferred sitting and reading and singing show tunes.

Too much Beyoncé for our kids...

Okay. I saw this video last year and watched it over and over because this kid is so freakin' funny. Recently I thought of it and couldn't get it out of my head so I thought I would share. He is so a future Broadway star. Or a future PT's Cabaret star....
If you can be patient, keep watching. He does some great stuff with the chair.

Delaney makes her new sound

Delaney just started doing this recently and it's hilarious!!! She gets very serious when she does it. It's like she is an old man sucking his teeth, but she doesn't have any!

I thought this was truly amazing and inspiring. Thank you Christy for forwarding this to me!!!!

The Roberts go to the Beach

The Roberts Family went to Surfside Beach for a Labor Day vacation with Trey and Kelli. We rented a great house on the beach and had a fabulous time. Delaney was the perfect angel the entire time like she always is, and did perfect on the car trips and on the whole beach trip. We brought everything we own for her so that probably helped.
Right when we arrived, Delaney put on her shades and was ready to hit the beach.
Trey and Kelli sit on the porch and get ready for fun and sun. Poor Trey got a little too much sun on our trip. He was relaxing too much in his beach chair and fried his forehead. Oh well. He didn't let it ruin his time!

We brought the Jeep running stroller and this was the most perfect baby accessory for the beach. Delaney loved her morning walks and we were able to hang out on the beach and swim and play games while she relaxed and lounged in the stroller.
Delaney put on her itsy bitsy polka dot bikini and was ready for the surf. She liked it but it wore her out......
......so she needed to take a snooze inside her beach tent.

The next day Delaney had on her cool shades again, and was ready to hit the beach.
Delaney chilled in her stroller while the adult crew played bocci.
We made a trip to Sam's Corner to eat super greasy food and play video games. I managed to win 126 tickets during our little excursion to the arcade. Skeeball rocks.
Trey and Kelli pose on the Garden City pier.
We loved playing Bocci on the beach even though Trey and Kelli kicked our ass. I will not mention that we KILLED them at Cranium. Randy shows off his skull and crossbones tattoo that I won for him with my Sam's Corner arcade tickets. He is such a badass.

Delaney hangs out in her beach tent.

Randy and Delaney pose in front of our beach house.

Kel-Z came to visit and brought her son Jackson. Delaney seemed quite threatened by Jackson's presence and gave him an evil scowl.

Delaney then quickly changed her mind and proceeded to tell Kel-Z how cute she thought Jackson was.

Jackson borrows Delaney's bouncey seat for a quick chill break. It was so great to see him and he is the cutest thing. Big 'ol chipmunk cheeks, beautiful eyes, and the softest hair I have ever felt.
After Kel-Z and Jackson left, Delaney decided to take chill to a new level in her bouncey seat. She is demonstrating the lean to the left move, practicing for Passover next year.
The girls pose before dinner. We went to Flo's Place at Murrells Inlet. I had an entire bushel of oysters, which I hadn't had since before I got pregnant. They were delicious!!!
Delaney wears her daddy's hat.

Delaney and I pose on our last morning at the beach.

We truly had a wonderful vacation. It was relaxing and definitely needed. It was good for all of us to get away and just talk, and hang out, and play with Delaney. We are already starting to plan next year's vacation extravaganza!!!

*** Oh, and if you want to see more pics from the vacation---just let me know. I have about 500 more. :)
