Delaney's Piano Recital

I started recording Maya singing a song and I didn't think she would go through her entire repertoire. She loves to sing. Loud. But mighty cute. :)
Delaney at her first piano recital. She played three songs, "Hanky" Doodle, Pop Goes the Weasel, and Little Bird. Now for a four year old who has only been playing since August I think she did incredible!!! She was really nervous before she started and I was scared she wouldn't perform at all! Her teacher Bobby was really good about coming to get her and making her feel comfortable. There were about 50 people there and the kids were incredible! They started with the youngest, Delaney, and the recital worked up to kids playing and singing at the same time and even kids who wrote their own music!

Delaney had her first piano recital, playing "Hanky" Doodle, Pop Goes the Weasel, and Little Bird. She had a little trouble with the duet song but trucked right on through it. I couldn't be more proud of my little four year old being so brave in front of 50 people!!!
After her wonderful performance Delaney still seemed a littler nervous....

...but the sunflower bouquet we brought her made her smile.

We left the recital a little early because the natives were getting restless and enjoyed the beautiful weather down by the river.

Run Maya Run!!!

Maya decided to hop off her bike at Bike Day and just run around the course. And when I say run, I mean run. Those little arms were just a pumping and those hips were a wiggling. She took it very seriously. It was hysterical. Everyone was just watching her go around, and around, and around.......

*** I can't believe I almost forgot to post this video from Bike Day. It was hysterical!!

Week of the Young Child at TRUMPS

Every year the girls' preschool at TRUMPS celebrates The Week of the Young Child. On Wednesday there was a school picnic with Chik-fil-A. Of course I did not order Chik-fil-A because I swore never to again after the big controversy last year, so I brought some delicious Zaxby's. It was a gorgeous day in the sunshine.

The girls loudly do a duet together. Delaney got a big girl bike for her 5th birthday. It is adorable with streamers and a seat behind hers for a doll. She got the bike a couple of weeks early so she could ride it at the big "Bike Day" festivities at her preschool.
Delaney immediately put Bitty on her new bike to take out for a little ride.

Bike Day!!!!!!!!!!!!! Maya was ready to go with her kitty helmet. Her feet have just now reached the pedals but she still prefers to be pushed.

The big storm clouds coming didn't stop bike day from happening----thank goodness!!

Disney on Ice and Touch a Truck

The girls were so excited about their big night at Disney on Ice. Maya (a.k.a. Rapunzel) and Delaney (a.k.a. Tiana) of course had to wear their princess dresses.

It was a big girls night out at the show with my friend Cathy and her two adorable little ones Lillian and Trinity.

This weekend was the annual Touch a Truck which is an awesome fundraiser the Junior League does where they have about a hundred different trucks and cars and tractors, etc....for kids to climb on.

COCKY!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

Delaney practicing her photography skills.

Behind the wheel!

Delaney saw her friend Elly there. Elly and her parents moved onto our street this past year and the two girls are "best friends".

Oh this is trouble.....

My Gym had a kids area set up and Maya made herself right at home.

Me and the girls rode a little train around for a while.

Delaney in a big rig.

Delaney on a wee little tractor.

Getting faces painted.

Whatchu doin' to my face???

My girls will hug anything that is a large character with a costume. This right here is the Habitat for Humanity recycling can. And yes----it got huge hugs from my children.

Watch out world---the Roberts girls are in the back of a cop car.

Moving vans are fun.

This police dog is about the same size as Maya!!
