Circus, Cupcakes, and Cute Booties

Bless it. Poor Tyson got sprayed by his daddy with pink hair spray. He looks like a ghetto graffiti dog.
This child dancing totally makes my day. Nothing like it. I love her so.
Annual daddy/daughter date to circus. This was Maya's first year. She was a little unsure about the clown nose at first but then it grew on her. They lasted until 9:15 and then Randy said Maya passed out even with the noise and lights and Delaney looked a little glazed. They loved it though!!!!

Maya and I went to Delaney's school to see the kindergarten production of four different Laura Numeroff books. The class had been studying them and then made books of their own with the same theme. Delaney did "If you give an alligator an apple" and wrote almost the whole thing by herself with just some assistance getting back to apple. I helped her by adding a Snow White theme to it. Their was a production in the lunchroom and then an author's tea in the library with a ton of sweets and tea. Maya loved the boat in the library.

My sweet little girl was the cat in the production of "If You Give a Cat a Cupcake".
Delaney got to play the part of the cat in her class production of "If You Give a Cat a Cupcake". She was actually sick the day before and missed rehearsal and wasn't feeling 100% today and I still think she did fantastic!

Little Maya looks concerned around the big kids Kayden and Gudelia but those two were just giving her hug after hug.

Too too sweet.

Poor Laney Loo came home and passed out after school. She hadn't been feeling well and I think the excitement from the circus and author's tea just did her in. She still looks like a baby to me when she is sleeping. :)

The girls send their birthday greetings to "beach Jackson". I love it when Maya shakes her little bootie while dancing.

Videos on my phone I had forgotten about----there will be many more posts like this. Oops!

Delaney jumps into the foam pit at Hiwire. Maya is like a little jumping bean at Hiwire. She loves it! Maya and I jump into the foam pit at Hiwire. Randy and I thought we could show this video to Delaney's first suitor. Hee hee.

Vehicles and St. Patrick's Day

Maya's preschool had Vehicle Day where they all got to bring their tricycles/scooters and play around. Because her preschool is so creative and fun, they made an awesome outdoor area where there was a car wash (dress rack with scarves), Dunkin Donuts drive thru (of course with real donut holes to "buy") and a gas station. When I came to see what was going on, Maya and Sandy were chowing on their donuts holes taking a break.

Emma Heyward and Marshall at the car wash.

Getting our gear together for St. Patrick's Day! Unfortunately this is the first year in a long time I will not be able to run. I even ran when pregnant! I woke up in pain a couple of weeks ago and thought it was a stiff neck and the pain just wouldn't go away. I went to see Dr. Goldstein who prescribed pain meds. The pain was pretty unbearable and I ended up seeing a chiropractor who did x-rays. He didn't really say much but said that he recommended me see him twice a week for 6 weeks at $65 a visit. I don't think so. Another chiropractor was recommended and she looked at my x-ray and said my neck was curved in the opposite direction and recommended an MRI. The MRI showed a cervical hernia at C6-7, bone spurs, and scoliosis. WTF??????? I then had appointment with neurosurgeon. Dr. Rambo the neurosurgeon prescribed me a nerve pain pill and said that if I am not in agonizing pain then he wouldn't do surgery but otherwise he would. I passed on the surgery and took the meds and did some traction. Now here I am a month and a half later and my pain is pretty much gone and I am running and exercising again. Dr. Rambo said I could wean off of the medicine. My arm is where the pain/tingling was and now I just have some numbness and tingling that will probably be there forever. Not the almost agonizing pain I was in though where I couldn't sleep or do much of anything. I am hoping that everything will be okay after I stop the medicine. Dr. Rambo was pretty much in shock that my pain was gone. He was thinking he was going to be scheduling me for surgery. Supergirl!!!!!!

Delaney and Randy signed up to do the 1 mile kids run. Delaney was super excited and we got down to the race to watch the 5K runners take off. I was supposed to do the 10K but had to downgrade to the 1 mile walk. Phooey.

We ran into Sally.

Silly ol us.

The one thing that made not running better is I was super pumped to enter the Best Dressed Leprechaun contest. I had the girls and myself all decked out and then we put a pot of gold in their wagon that was also highly decorated with a rainbow.

The costume contest actually had more people entered this year and the winner is by audience vote. I have to say that we actually probably came in second but we won anyway. $250 and our picture in the State Paper the next day! Woo hooo!!!!!!!!

The costume parts started coming off after we won.

A silly green mustached Grammy.

Getting geared up to watch the parade.

There was waaaaaay too much candy thrown out during the parade. Maya looks like she is a little wasted on sugar.
A little parade watching and Maya twerking.
I can't remember what parader had the carrot but they handed it to Delaney and she chowed down on it. Yes---a dirty old carrot probably from a dirty hippy. Actually both girls chomped on it.

Some fun on rides at MLK Park.

After bringing the girls home and Grammy staying with them we went back down to the St. Pats Festival to meet our friends Caitlin and Fred, Kelly and Drew (of the famous Kelly Painter kindergarten teacher) and David and Shannon pictured here. We had such a good time. Caitlin was skeptical because she said she hadn't been since college and she ended up loving it and wanting to go back next year. Success!!!

Maya sings her little heart out to "Let it Go". The song has been placed into time out in her preschool class due to someone singing it too much. Not sure who that someone is. :)
