Okay. No pics to accompany this. I am now back at work. I am actually doing much better than I thought I would. I think because I know my schedule will be good. Details to come about this later. It is not official but my schedule is about to be awesome and allow me to spend more time with my beautiful little one. And my gourgeous husband. And not be a crazy person which potentially could have happened.
The Roberts Family will be taking donations soon. Just kidding. We will be broker, but happier....and that's what matters.

The Roberts Girls Enjoy Their Last Day of Maternity Leave
Sigh. Today is my last day of maternity leave. I want to say I am ready to go back to work, and in a way I am, but I will miss Delaney so much it hurts. I wish I could strap her to my back and go to work like that. I must admit I am a bit stir crazy at home, but still.....
I have been smothering Delaney with squishy kisses today. Luckily she doesn't mind. I need to realize that she is not being shipped off to another country, just going to Nana's and then daycare. She will be well taken care of and will have a blast. I will just miss her. Randy and I will be fighting each other at night and on the weekends as to who gets to feed and diaper her. I wonder if he has checked out my guns lately.......

Is it Delaney or is it Lebron?
Delaney sports her new bow and new kicks.
Okay. I swore I would never put one of these ridiculous bows on my child's head. When I put it on her, I was laughing so hard that Delaney started laughing too and then we were both laughing and shrieking. I think she looks quite sporty versus frou-frou. Randy and I feel she is either going for the Lebron look or McEnroe look.

Watching a Movie
Delaney and her daddy watch Raiders of the Lost Ark. One of them thinks Harrison Ford is sexy. Wait....nevermind...that's me.
Randy and his little look-alike daughter. Looking at the two of them together just makes me smile.
Delaney waits for me to pass the movie popcorn. You will be waiting a while little one.....I warned your daddy when we were dating that I don't share my popcorn. Ever. You might lose a finger.
Little pumpkin gets cozy on the couch.

What We Did This Weekend
Our niece Morgan turns 1 today (July 21) but she celebrated over the weekend with family. Here she is with her daddy primping before more people arrive.
Morgan and Davis
Our friends Connie and Judah came swimming this weekend and brought their daughter Bella. Delaney and Bella were quite interested in one another and decided to pose together for the camera.

Canoeing with Miranda
Miranda is my cousin Matt's 10 year old daughter who lives in St. Croix. She is so wonderful and fabulous and she is visiting her Grammy Nutty here in SC. Randy and I took her canoeing on the Saluda River. We had a great time!!!
Which one of these turtles isn't the brightest? See if you can figure it out....
Randy shows off his canoeing skills in the back of the boat.
Miranda smiles for the camera before spotting one of two river otters. They were so cute!!
Delaney pic of the week: Yes, I know the bathing suit and hat are too big but I couldn't resist. Target should realize that some children want to swim before 3 months old and they should size their bathing suit attire accordingly. Sheesh.

Happy 4th!!!!
Delaney stares at Nanny J in confusion. She wonders where her grandmother went and who put this Liberty chick in her place.
Delaney and I pose with Wimbledon on the TV in the background.
Randy and I have noticed that the only TV Delaney pays attention to is sports. We will start her tennis lessons at age 2. Future Venus she will be.
Delaney models her "Born in 2008" onesie. She is so festive.
Kelli and Trey celebrate with us on the 4th. The weather was not the sunniest but there were good burgers and beer.
Delaney is ready for the pool!

Delaney celebrates Nana's birthday and goes to the zoo
We celebrate Nana's ___ birthday at Harper's. Delaney loved sitting outside and it was a very nice evening. Delaney loves spending time with her great-grandmother.
Delaney, Kathie, and a 170 year old tortoise pose for the camera. Delaney slept through her entire experience at Riverbanks Zoo but I can tell she loved it. She twitched her nose slightly when we walked back the elephants. They were quite stinky.
Anyone who knows me knows that my childhood dream was to be a primatologist (a.k.a. someone who plays with monkeys for a living). I am already prepping Delaney for that job. Here we are posing in front of the Howler monkey exhibit at the zoo. Delaney was faking that she was sleeping when really she was already assessing the monkey's intake and environment. The monkey was equally as interested in Delaney.
One of Delaney's future clients.
