After agonizing for a while----I finally took Delaney for her first haircut. My friend Andrea told me about this place 'Sharkey's Cuts for Kids' where the kids get to sit in fun cars and watch movies while they get their haircuts. Because Delaney's hair was getting a little crazy, especially when she wakes up in the morning, I decided to take her.
Delaney picked the Barbie jeep for her "seat" and she watched Noggin on the TV.
She didn't even realize she was getting her hair cut.
Because I love Delaney's hair long, the hairdresser just recommended cutting some layers in the back.
After her fabulous haircut, we headed to another room where Delaney got her nails did which is included in the price of every haircut. She felt like a princess and picked the color "sparkly pink".
The whole experience was AWESOME and Delaney loved her haircut and her manicure. Delaney's hair is so much more manageable now and so much better. I highly recommend this place to everyone because it made the whole hair cutting experience fun and not torturous.

Cousin Play Time
Dave and the kids spent the night with us for a big enormous slumber party. Pizza was had and the kids had a blast playing together.
Thank goodness we had two horsies for the girls to ride.
Davis kept putting the girls in "lockdown" which made them a little nervous.
This is the closet in the playroom where we had to throw the ball pit, extra toys, etc... in order to make room for the air mattress in the playroom. The girls thought it was a fun "room" to play in.
After discovering the girls in the closet Delaney shows off her "Who me?" getting out of trouble face.
Delaney and Morgan loved having a friend in the bathtub.
It was a fun night and Randy and I definitely went to bed exhausted.

Thanksgiving Week
We did our annual walk at the lights at Saluda Shoals Park. This is a 3 mile walk (which you can also run as a race)where they decorate the whole park with Christmas lights. It is so much fun!!
It rained again this year as it has all of the other years. That's okay---at least it wasn't cold.
Delaney loved seeing all of the lights---especially all of the "Bambi" a.k.a. reindeer. She rode in her stroller for ~2 miles and then wanted to get out and be in the race. Delaney full out ran for almost the whole last mile. She was hilarious. The course was situated with runners heading in one direction going back and the walkers heading the other way. It was divided by cones and Delaney was running so fast and looking at the lights versus in front of her and she kept getting in the runners way. They thought it was really cute though. I have never seen a two year old run the way she did and so fast. She is definitely running the next race with me!!
And speaking of that---on Thanksgiving morning I did my annual race. It was the Turkey Day 5K that was downtown. Now considering I have only run about 5 times since I was 4 months pregnant, I think I did pretty damn good! The course was awesome with the uphills at the beginning and downhills at the end. Here are my stats:
199 48/342 250 JULIET ROBERTS 34 F COLUMBIA SC 25:41 8:16
Randy and Delaney were waiting ~50 yards from the finish line and Delaney was waiting to run with me. I grabbed her hand and we took off running but she got tired a little too quickly and wanted to be picked up so I swooped her up and ran across the finish line holding her. I so wish we had a camera to capture the moment but forgetful mommy forgot.
We celebrated Thanksgiving at Phil and Debbie's along with a bunch of other people. Carrie was there and loved spending time with little Maya.
One of Maya's favorite people is her Nana.
Little Miss Beautiful and her Daddy.
Larry loves him some Baby Maya. Thankfully Larry and Joe were able to come to Thanksgiving because they almost didn't make it. They took Joe's parents to the new Nickelodeon theater for a little tour and Joe's dad fell through a hole in the ceiling. Thank goodness he didn't break anything but was shooken up and in some pain. Mr. Hudson rested and didn't join us for the meal but Mrs. Hudson was there with Larry and Joe and we all ate large amounts of food and enjoyed spending the time together. Other people that were there: Dave, mom, Matt----and Delaney of course. She is not pictured because she spent most of the time in a bedroom watching a movie. She even ate in there. I feel bad because she was a little antisocial but she hadn't napped and was a little cranky.
Maya is demonstrating how we all feel on Thanksgiving night.

Just come cuteness at the Roberts house
A little play time on the play mat.
Just a little conversation with my Bug-a-Boo.
Dave brought his kids over to play.
I look a little pissy here but Maya is cute as a button.
The three cousins are so cute together. Davis is the ringleader and Morgan and Delaney just play along.
Even with the big new playset in the backyard, Morgan goes to the mini swing.
Oh yeah--and so does Delaney.
Love this pic---the girls were catching each other going down the slide.
Maya steals a snooze in Delaney's chair.

Oyster Festival
On Sunday we went to the Oyster Festival downtown at the Hampton Preston mansion. It was gourgeous weather and there were oysters, drinks, music, and fun. Delaney and Randy danced to some tunes.
Delaney and her Auntie Jessica have the same dance moves.
Maya enjoyed being outside and taking it all in.
Randy and Delaney rode the scrambler. Delaney handled it well but Randy didn't feel too good after eating oysters and then spinning around in circles.
Jessica loved hanging out with her youngest niece.
The newest silly member of the family poses with some shades.

Auntie Jessica comes to visit!!!!
My sister Jessica came to visit and meet her nieces. It was so good to see her!
Delaney, Jessica, and I went to EdVenture on Saturday. They had an awesome fairy tale exhibit.
Jessica posing with a turtle backpack in the fairy tale land.
Dining at the castle.
"Romeo o Romeo" in the balcony.
She is definitely ny daughter---"buying" all of the sweet stuff at the grocery store in EdVenture.
Wearing the boots inside the firetruck.
Driving the tractor.
We had packed a picnic lunch and we found a nice sunny spot outside the museum.
It was hard to get a picture of all three of us but at least Jess was able to get this good one of the two of us.
