Trenholm Road United Methodist Church, where Delaney's daycare is, has a great pumpkin patch every year. We went to pick out some pumpkins.

The Faces of Delaney

I just thought these pics were cute.

Speaking of cute...I don't have any pics yet since I am usually the one behind the camera but..drum roll....I straightened my hair this week. Yes---straightened. It will last for about a year and I am excited. It is different for me but I love being able to wear my hair down and swish it around like all of you SHP (straight hair people) do and Randy loves being able to run his hand through it and not get stuck. I think after a while I will miss the curls but it won't last forever. Hopefully will have some pics soon!!!

Ray Tanner Home Run

It was a cold morning for the Ray Tanner Home Run. This is a very fun 5K, or if you want----12K, that starts and ends at the Carolina Baseball stadium. This is the first year it was at the new stadium which is awesome.

Mom came to keep Delaney entertained while I ran. There are no pics of her because she was on camera duty. Sorry mom!!!!

Delaney loved Cocky---who wouldn't??

Larry has gotten into running a lot lately and he did the run with me. We shivered together before the race started.

Ok---I don't want to toot my own horn--but BEEP!!! I did awesome during the run. My stats are below--but they called my name at the awards ceremony after the run to state I had won a medal for winning first in my age group. I also was the 4th female finisher over all. Wowsers!!! Mom, Delaney, and I had already left and they wouldn't let Larry accept my medal for me. I now have it at home and I am so proud. Larry ended up doing awesome too. He cut 4 minutes off his time from the last run he did which was the weekend before. We will be doing the Thanksgiving 5-miler next if anyone wants to catch a glimpse of the speed.....:)

Birthday and Blues Traveler and SC State Fair

To celebrate my 33rd (YIKES!) birthday this year, Randy and I went to Charlotte to see Blues Traveler. We stayed with Jessica and had such a good time! The show was at this new place called The Fillmore that was awesome. It is a hard place to describe but it basically looks like an old warehouse that is converted into a musical venue with no chairs, but lots of little bars inside and great views of the stage even from the back of the room. It was quite shwanky with chandeliers hanging from the ceiling all over the place. Blues Traveler put on a great show and even played "I Want You to Want Me"...an old Cheap Trick song that I LOVE! It was a great way to celebrate my birthday.

October is such a special time of year because that is when the State Fair is here!!!! I don't want to even describe what Randy and I ate while we were there, but it was ridiculous. Delaney loved the fair and looking at all of the freaky people that were there.

Delaney said "DUCK" to the nice vlasic pickle bird.

The bunnies were really cute and fluffy.

Because Delaney was too small to ride any of the real rides at the fair, we decided that she and I would ride on Peaches the elephant. I think I was almost more excited than Delaney!

Instead of getting excited about the animals and fair games, Delaney tended to find random things such as a bench truly mesmerizing.

Here is the banana that I won our sweet child at Whack-a-Mole. I am so damn good at that game. Randy won Delaney a dog popping balloons, and Delaney won herself a fish picking a duck from a pond. After receiving her fish, she threw the fish into the pond with the ducks. Whatever works. We took our banana, dog, and wet fish home and slept well that night after french fries, fried mushrooms, teriyaki chicken, egg roll, chicken fingers, raw fries, and root beer float. OMG---we are disgusting.

Dirty Hippy Hair

Fashion Tip of the Week:
How to have Dirty Hippy Hair.
1) Eat a peanut butter and jelly sandwich.
2) While eating the sandwich, casually run your hands through your hair while your fingers are nice and sticky.
3) Don't wash your hair and you have fabulous dirty hippy hair that young kids for generations have worn to concerts and drum circles, etc....

Rooftop Rhythms

We went to this neighborhood celebration on top of the roof/parking lot of the old Richland Mall. It was really fun with live music from this '80's cover band and then The Tams. They had food from all of the nearby restaurants, beer and wine, and lots of stuff for kids.

We ran into Kathleen and Chris and the girls. Addy always likes to give Delaney a big hug when she sees her.

Emmy, Delaney, and Addy dance to the tunes.
