Our Star Performer with some New Tunes

Delaney singing "Cruella de Ville" from 101 Dalmatians. If you are a PT, please ignore her "W" sitting. We have been on her about it. We threaten she will never be a ballerina if she is pigeon toed.

Maya Moments

Maya in her super cool Madonna onesie.

Maya makes some silly faces and noises.

Maya loves those little Gerber puffs.

Nana came over to visit and loves to sit with Maya. It was a hot day so the two sat in a chair in the shade.

Tea Parties and Outside Fun

Sarah Beth hosted a tea party at her house and Delaney and I went. All of her little school friends were there and it was the cutest thing. They were all dressed up and there were baskets laid out with lots of other princess attire for them to wear. They decorated hats and wore fancy jewelry and had such a good time.

Libbie and Delaney with her fancy tea party dress.

The fancy girls eating their petit fours, fruit, and drinking their tea.

Delaney was in one of her don't take pictures of me moods but I managed to get this one of her smiling.

Delaney and Ellis

Sarah Beth had a tea party for her friends and after the tea and snacks, the girls got to some playing and dancing. Yo Gabba Gabba can get anyone in the mood to jam. Delaney and Ellis dance together briefly and then Ellis takes a spill and Delaney just keeps with the jam.

We blew up the mushroom baby pool for Maya and she loved sitting in it. Delaney wasn't dressed for swimming because she was supposed to be napping so we just took off her clothes so she could join the fun.

Attempting a family portrait with the timer on the camera is always fun.

Memorial Day 2011

Grammy bought the girls matching outfits for Memorial Day/4th of July/Tuesday...etc...Aren't they fabulous????

We took the girls and the dogs for a walk. Delaney likes to walk with Olive. "She's my best friend".

This "double" stroller (I can't think of the correct name right now) is one of the best things I have ever bought. Both girls are totally happy.

Fight the power Maya!!
This is how she waves right now. If she sees someone and gets excited she just lifts that arm up.

This pic makes me laugh of both girls playing but totally oblivious of one another.

Cutie pie.

This is one of Delaney's favorite songs--one from The Nightmare Before Christmas. She has a whole routine she does to it. This isn't the best version of that routine--usually there is more choreography and singing--but it's what I captured. Hopefully I will get the complete performance soon. But for now--this one is pretty awesome.

Hermy

Delaney's class has a pet hermit crab. Each weekend a different child gets to take him home. When I say him--it is the crab who is really nameless. Delaney can't give us a straight answer so we will go with Hermy. We were the lucky family over Memorial Day weekend to take the hermit crab home. He pretty much looked dead in his tank for the weekend but when we put him on the table he would roam around.

Maya and her table

Maya could play on this table for hours. One problem---she can stand up there by herself--but she doesn't know how to get down yet. She loves it though---hitting that "Yellow" a.k.a. "Jello" button is a big hit.

Maya loves eating the little Gerber snacks. We aren't doing too many right now because even though they dissolve she still is having a little trouble with them. She definitely thinks they are tasty!!

TRUMPS Spring Fling 2011

Maya has her debut in the sanctuary at daycare. She rides down in the wagon with her friends Abigail and Joe. Maya didn't have the pacifier earlier but there was a little bit of a lag before the show started and I think she got a little fussy.

The Infant II class gets settled at the front of the church. Maya is the second little baby towards the right sitting with the crown on. Her class "sang" to "I Just Can't Wait to Be King" from The Lion King. Their shirts were homemade by Mrs. Camille and Maya's had a lion on it with fabulous feathers for his mane.

Little Miss Curious looks up at Mrs. Karen for inspiration.

After several other classes, it was time for the star performer. Delaney heads down the aisle holding Mrs. Lindsey's hand. They had t-shirts on that said "Jesus is the Rock Band" that were homemade and all of her class had sunglasses on. If you can tell---Delaney's sunglasses were upside down. She has a little problem with that.

If you can see from the picture--Delaney is the tall one towards the center in the back. Her class sang two song: 1) Father Abraham and 2) Open Shut Them which is an adorable song that she sings all of the time. Delaney did really well doing the hand motions for both songs and singing the whole time. I didn't videotape it because her daycare is supposed to be selling videos of the performance soon. Hopefully I will have soon so everyone can see it!

My little sunshine is so proud of herself after her performance.

Nana came to see the big show and of course Randy was there.

You can't tell from this picture but Delaney's hair was done up in these loopy doopy ponytail things in the back.

A really cute pic of Maya and her daddy.
