St. Patricks Day 2012

The girls got dressed up in their festive gear to watch me run the annual Get to the Green 5K.

Grammy wore her new "hat" to join us.

Before the 5K race started at St. Patricks Day they had some awesome music and a dancer who got down.

The fam after the race. I actually did quite good if I do say so myself. I think my time was 23:38, or something like that, but I got 6th in my age division which was out of 170 girls aged 35-40. Of course they only listed the top 5 in the winning categories so I missed it just barely!!!! I will be even speedier next time. I blame it on the fact that my playlist wasn't working and I had to listen to random music versus the specific tunes that I picked for running. There were so many people running and the weather was gorgeous.

Delaney shaking it to some tunes after the race.

Grammy and Delaney do a little dancing after watching me run the 5K at St. Patricks Day. They were quite festive.

We celebrated with some bananas after the race waiting for the annual parade to start.

Delaney found some friends to run with her under the Hootie statue in 5 Points.

Maya wasn't feeling good so she found a good spot on Daddy's lap to watch the parade.

Delaney does a little hip shake while watching the St. Patricks Day parade. The girl was soooo excited during the parade and loved every minute of it

You can't see it from here, but Grammy bought Delaney some beads with a whistle because Delaney really wanted a whistle. Too bad the beads also said "Blow Me". How appropriate for a three year old and thank you so much Grammy. :)

Delaney gave love to just about everyone in the parade.

Blowing her whistle.

A little Elmo love.

Randy and I stayed with the girls until about 12 and then took them home for a while. Grammy came over to babysit and Randy and I got to be adults in 5 Points. We took our annual picture in front of Delaney's.

Happy St. Patricks Day!!!!!

Playtime

Because the weather is so beautiful we have been able to play outside at night more and we love it! Here is beautiful Miss D on her slide.

A little Dora pajama and paci while swinging.

Little Wild D in the swing.

Maya has not been feeling well and this is apparent from this pic.

Maya is getting blonder every day. Is this really my child? She's so pretty......

Costumes and Cupcakes

No mustache....

...stachified!!!!

Movie star

*Delaney's line of the week while watching me do an exercise video in the morning: "Mommy--none of those people are fat. Only you are fat". Wow. Spoken by a three year old. Cheesecake anyone???

Grammy took Delaney to see the ballet Sleeping Beauty. Delaney was so excited and when she got back she had real autographs from the "mean queen" and "princess". She absolutely loved it.

One morning when it was a little chilly out and we didn't have a lot to do we went to Booksamillion to pass some time. Little did I know how fun it was! The girls could actually read books and play with toys and I was able to relax and not have one in each hand because we went at 9 in the morning and it was empty. They have a fantastic hat section that we got into a little bit. Delaney of course wanted to be a pirate.

Birthday princess hat.

Nothing like doing a little shopping at the Booksamillion wearing a birthday cake hat.

Delaney must have found my tennis visor and got her daddy to capture a few cute pics.

You will always stay cute my little doodle bug.

Now I know it isn't really reading, but Delaney is very good at memorizing books quickly and I know that is the start to early reading. Here is a library book we have only had 2 weeks and she knows almost every word. My little genius.

Maya is sick but can still jam

What do you do with a sick child?? Why Yo Gabba Gabba of course!!

I do a little dancey dance while Maya joins in with peek-a-boo dancing from the couch.

Maya has an ear infection and is teething but still manages to love her Yo Gabba Gabba from the couch.

Fire Station Field Trip

Delaney's class took a field trip to the fire station. They were all excited to see the fire trucks. Delaney kept asking where the ladder was. The fireman wouldn't let us see their bunks and none of them dressed up (which they had promised the teachers) but it was still a lot of fun.

Waiting in the "lobby" for the firemen.

Delaney and her buddy Sally

Waiting for the firemen to come down the pole.

On Delaney's recent field trip to the fire station, the kids got to watch the fireman go down the pole. They thought it was a little exciting, but were nervous as you can see they are cowering in the corner. Now, I love my handsome husband---but did you see that fireman?? Wow---that is a good-looking fireman. If anything is ever on fire I definitely want him to save me.

Trying to get the whole class in for a pic is tough but I managed to get most of them in front of the old fire truck in the  museum.

Jessica intoduced me to an app on the phone where you can turn pictures of people into zombies. You then touch the screen and the zombie tries to bite you. It is truly terrifying. Delaney, of course, plays with it nonstop and is not frightened one bit. Drew at the beach also became quite taken with it. Here is Zombie Drew. Just thought I would share how weird we all are.

My two sweethearts in a quiet moment where they are not poking at each other.
