Touch a Truck and Lick a Sister

The Junior League puts on this awesome event called "Touch a Truck" where kids can basically go and climb all over different types of cars and trucks like tractors, police cars, fire trucks, etc....It was out at the new Farmers Market this year and I took the girls.

I didn't think Delaney was going to love it as much as she did but she loved her some big trucks!!

Maya was a little nervous about the trucks but enjoyed wearing her hard hat.

I hope the first and last time in the back of a police car.

We ran into Libbie and Lucy there and the older girls got balloon animals made by a scary clown.

Maya got sticker decorated by Lucy. That's what happens when you sit passively in a stroller.

Delaney still loves spending time with Garlic the neighborhood cat.

"What are you doing Garlic?"

"Don't you want to come hug me?"

Wearing their matching Nana skirts, the girls sat in the swing for a bit.

They were really cute and cuddly while in the swing.

A sweet little moment in the swing on the top porch and both girls started giggling when Delaney started licking. Silly little things.
I took the girls to my friend Jessica's daughter Lorelei's birthday party. Jessica is my mom's oldest friend Pat's daughter. Pat was quite astounded at how much Delaney looks and acts like my mom. I called mom immediately afterwards to say now I know who definitely to blame when my child acts u p. Delaney was a bit of a demon at the party (no nap and busy weekend = outrageous behavior) but Maya was pretty darn cute with my shades on.

Somehow Maya figured out how to turn the video camera on with the iphone and taped herself checking herself out. Just makes me laugh...."bow"....Whenever you see her say "bubbles" it is when Lorelei was opening her presents and got bubbles and Maya had to go check it out.
After a mini nap in the car on the way back from Loreleis' birthday party in Newberry, the girls had some dancing time in the man/dog/poker room. I think Randy is beginning to realize that this room is now theirs too. :)

A little dancing in the dog/man/poker room. One girl is dressed as a mermaid. Why shouldn't she be...??
That night Becky had a shower for our friend Monica who is pregnant, moved to NYC last year, and is due with a little boy in June. It was so good catching up with friends and eating delicious shirmp and drinking delicious wine. Can't wait to meet the little man and hear his name!!!!!

Choice Number 3

Delaney loved the singing plant when she was smaller and now Maya loves it. Wouldn't you want to dance to this song? She has to take a small break for more bites of dinner though in the middle.

Mom and I took Delaney to see Toy Story 3 on Ice. Delaney was a little confused with the name. At night, Randy and I give her three choices of activities she can do in her room before she goes to sleep. Delaney kept calling the show: "Choice Number 3 on Ice". Bless her.

We all loved the show. Delaney got a little glamour during the intermission. I love it that my child doesn't understand yet that you can buy all of the ridiculously expensive stuff they have for sale at these things. She just looks at them and says "Hello Buzz!!!" and keeps moving.

Delaney has a little obsession/crush with Andy from Toy Story. He is "her boy". We all loved the show. Mom and I said that when Delaney is too old to go we will still go.

Publix trips have been getting easier and easier now that the girls have finally realized they love each other a lot.

Nana made the girls matching skirts that are so adorable! She also made one for Morgan so the three of them together will be really cute.

Again...trying to get the two of them smiling at the camera in a pic is really tough.
I didn't really capture the part where Maya was imitating Nana's every move---lifting her arms like a ballerina and lifting her leg up. Still was a sweet moment with the two of them though. Delaney is the one operating the piano in the background. One of Maya's favorite books is "Butterfly Kisses" and we like to do the sounds from it.She likes it when the babies say "goo-goo" and my favorite is when she does the "cock-a-doodle doo". Her little voice just cracks me up.

Boat Time on Easter

We went to go see Renee and Jack on Wadmalaw Island for the night and Maya sported her shades for the ride. Interesting side note: On the way down Beltline leaving town, we saw little fox spinning in circles in middle of road. I was worried about him so we turned around to try to get him off road. Saw cars zooming coming the other way. Sadly, we thought oh well, he is a smushed pancake. On way back next day, over 24 hours later, we see two cop cars on Beltline in same spot with same spinning little fox. Poor little rabid thing had obviously been spinning in the road for quite a while. Glad we didn't stop then.

Playing her froggie game.

A little DJ action for the trip.

We hung out on the boat for the day. The boat didn't move from the dock but the boys fished and the two older girls ran around like crazy and Maya and I played with many toys. Maya likes squishing her face through bars.

Maya loves peek-a-boo and putting her face in between bars. Should we be concerned?

Dave was down there too and he brought Morgan and Davis.

They are too cute.

Me and my little bug-a-boo

Fishing

Maya and her favorite snack of cheese while on the boat in Charleston.

Feeding bread to the geese

The two captains in the captain's chair

Dave caught him a fish! Lil one tho...

Oooohh---a fish!!!!!

Delaney and Morgan are joined at the hip the entire time they are together.

Fuzzy pics of Maya but they are to capture her cute Easter outfit. Had to show it because this is the last time it will be worn by a Roberts girl. Delaney wore it and now my little peanut. Made me a little sad.....I guess I always knew that I would have another girl so when Delaney was getting bigger I was holding on to  her clothes knowing deep inside that they would go to use. Now the clothes are not to be worn again and it makes me sad. :( Too emotional lately about my girls growing up...
