Dave Matthews!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

To celebrate our anniversary, Randy and I went to see Dave Matthews in Charlotte. We did the Cirque du Soleil Michael Jackson for my part of the anniversary and Dave Matthews for his even though we both wanted to do both. I know, our anniversary is not until July, but we didn't want to do all these fun events that were a little pricey without having a reason. We got off work really early on Wednesday and went up to Charlotte to eat/drink before the big show. We ended up at the Flying Saucer for something new and different. :)

We had lawn seats and got there real early to make sure we had good seats. We did.

They played my favorite song "Crush" which made me really happy.

There was a Mystery Machine in the parking lot as we were leaving.

We both so loved our early anniversary present to each other. Awesome show and fantastic night. Now the only trouble is----what are we going to do on our real anniversary?? Huddle house....

Parties and Parks

Delaney's friend Natalie had her birthday party at Little Gym and she had such a fun time! The group had their pics taken at the end.

Forest Acres Festival

The Forest Acres Festival is an awesome event that is free and has lots of rides for kids and other activities.

I just had to throw this pic in because look at my pissy face. I was having a good time I promise!!!

Delaney loved playing in the big bubbles.

Sweet little Maya stood by the big bubbles with her little bubbles and just blew away. It was so funny to watch.

Delaney and I rode on the tilt-a-whirl ride and Randy took her down the big slide. It was a fun time.

Pat Conroy!!!!!

Bonnie and I went to the SC Book Festival and the headliner was my favorite author (besides Stephen King)---Pat Conroy!!!! We went to hear him speak and he was amazing. Very humble and down to earth. He said that with his first manuscript he hand wrote it (and hand writes them all even still---amazing....) but his wife said he couldn't send it in that way. He got friends and family to help him type it and they used a mish-mash of paper to do so. The publisher called him and said "Pat---I haven't even read your book yet but it is the cutest thing I have ever seen" with blue and yellow pages and personalized stationary sent in. He also said that after writing "The Prince of Tides" Barbara Streisand kept calling him and he didn't believe it was her. When finally getting him on the phone she was mad and he still didn't believe it. He had her sing "People" so he could verify and then he realized it was her. Love that. Nutty and I waited in line one hour to meet him and have him sign our books and he was so nice and shook our hands and allowed me Mrs. Obnoxious to get a picture taken with him.

Maya so wants everything that is Delaney's. Even though she has her own bike she likes to put on Delaney's helmet and get on her bike.

My ridiculously awesome new camera has a features that knows when a subject is smiling and automatically takes a picture. It really works....and captures perfect smiles too! My camera is a genius.

My camera can even get Delaney to not do a fake smile. I am blown away.
