We hosted Chanukah at our house this year and had so much fun! Nutty made the latkes and chicken and mom made a fantastic salad. We had fondue for dessert and of course, it was utter chaos as usual with opening the millions of presents. Delaney was very funny during it. She didn't rip open the presents like I thought she would, but liked being the Chanukah fairy and bringing other people presents. She also kept sitting in the corner with her books and reading during the opening frenzy. She is definitely my child.
Speaking of reading, Delaney will plop down anywhere with a book and she tricked Nutty into sitting on the kitchen floor for quite a while to read her books.
The chaos of Chanukah begins!!!
Delaney got some Betsy Johnson pajamas. You go Nutty!!!
We got mom a much needed new comforter set. She was so excited!!!
Nana and Stan look a little stressed. Do you think it was because we just started and there are four million presents to open?
We got Stan a Bruce Springsteen calendar. You won't believe how hard it was to find that! There are a lot of Bruce Sprinsteen freaks, I mean fans, out there.
No...this is not the same picture as above but it is Stan with another Bruce Springsteen present.
Randy and Delaney take a self-portrait.
We got mom a Snuggie so she can be warm when she sits on her porch. We also got one for Tigger the cat. She's got to be warm too, right?
Grammy got Delaney her favorite present so far----a play kitchen with her own chef hat and apron. The kitchen is equipped with microwave, play burner that bubbles when you put a pot on it, and the all-important cell phone. It is the most fun!!!! We also have eight million play food items to go with it so if you are hungry for a taco, doughnut, french fry, or garlic clove---come on by!
Talking on the phone while cooking is always important.
