The Best Cat
How do you know when you have the best cat in the world?
One answer:
1) When your 15 year old occasionally bitchy cat allows your almost two year old daughter to place an entire drawer full of crap onto your back and not move a muscle. That's love.
***Pic did not capture when Delaney then placed her entire food and water bowl onto her back. Yeah---not the bowls, just the contents. Mia still did not move. I love my kitty so. Mia puts up with so much because Delaney just loves her.
Passover 2010
Passover was in Nutty's backyard this year with a record number of 60 people!!! It was a beautiful night and the Seder was chaotic but lovely. Delaney, Emmi, and Addy chased each other around the yard but kept themselves very entertained. I got to visit with a lot of family and friends who I don't get to see that often and it was really nice catching up. Big thanks to my mom who got these pictures because without her we wouldn't have any! She didn't get everyone so if you were left out---we will just say you were off looking for the Affikommen.

Lingerie and Birthdays
Saturday was super busy!!! In the morning Delaney and I took Olive to the vet for her yearly checkup. Delaney got a lollypop and said "good girl Olive" as she was examined. Then I had a lingerie shower at 11:00 for my friend Monica who is getting married this June. It was a great shower with many SAWWWS attendees and everyone was amazingly quite classly with their lingerie gifts for Monica. The actual bachlorette party was in the evening and I am guessing that the raunchy items came out then. I hate I missed it.....or am I???
I was a bad photographer at the shower but captured Monica in one gifter's (thank you Whitley) ensemble consisisting of bunny ears and panties.
Saturday afternoon was Sarah Beth's 2nd birthday party at her house. Sarah Beth is one of Delaney's favorite friends from school. It was a gourgeous day and the party was great with lots of kids and activities.
My hippy dippy child loves a good bubble machine.
Will and his mommy Megan attempt to make a bunny basket.
Libbie and her parents Caitlin and Fred also try their hand at the bunny baskets.
Sidenote: Remember the original Infant 4 from Mrs. Angela's classroom at daycare?? Delaney, Will, Libbie, and Sarah Beth. Well---all 4 moms are pregnant at the same time!!!! Sarah Beth's little sister Lily is due April 26, Libbie's little sister is due the day after her 2nd birthday in July (that's a damn shame), and Will and Delaney's little siblings are both due in September. The fabulous foursome will be a different fabulous foursome again. How cool!!!!
Delaney her her BFF Sarah Beth ride in the wagon.
Sarah Beth's grandmother Miss Dale was there singing songs with her guitar to entertain the kids. Miss Dale comes every Wednesday to daycare to sing and Delaney absolutely loves her.
I love the three girls, Delaney, Sarah Beth, and Libbie dancing in a circle.
This picture may look like they are pushing each other but Delaney and Sarah Beth are playing "Row Row Row", "rowing" each other back and forth.
Sarah Beth gets ready to blow out the candle on her birthday cupcake.
Delaney comes in for the kill.....luckily she stood back so Sarah Beth could blow out her own candle. After the candle was removed, Delaney immediately grabbed it and licked all of the frosting off. That's my girl.
Chef hat, high-heeled Easter cup holding M 'n M's, potty....what more could a girl want??

Delaney and doggies....doggies and Delaney
One of Delaney's new favorite activities is to take out all of the leashes, doggie accessories, etc...and drape them all over herself or all over the house. She thinks it is fabulous. Meanwhile...the poor doggies are going crazy because they think someone is going to take them for a walk.
Is that a whiny face or what??
Randy puts on a big smile to motivate Queen Whiny Pants.
Delaney puts on my purse while Randy tries to capture a picture of Delaney and the doggies.

Tot Trade and USC Baseball
Two times a year I go to the Tot Trade which is a HUGE consignment sale for baby and children's items including clothes, shoes, toys, and big stuff like strollers. I volunteer for 4 hours at the register and if you volunteer you can shop early which is a big bonus because then you don't have to shop in the crowd and you get all of the good stuff. I basically scored with Delaney getting a whole summer wardrobe, new toys for her birthday, and my big item which was a Sit-to-Stand stroller for the two Roberts kids to ride in while walking the dogs and other fun activites. Yay for Tot Trade!
When I left the Tot Trade sale there were rocking horses close to the register. It was like a pack of gum at the grocery store---way too tempting not to buy on the way out. Well...the smile on Delaney's face when she rode on it for the first time was priceless.
Delaney likes to gather all of her toys and sit in Olive's bed and play with them all.
We went to a USC Baseball game on Saturday--we were playing Tennessee. We put Delaney's cheerleading outfit on, packed up the wagon, and were ready to go. It was a gourgeous day and even though we couldn't bring the wagon inside, Delaney did very well. We lasted until almost the 5th inning and the Gamecocks ended up winning. Go Cocks!!!
Look at the wonderment in my child's face upon seeing her hero in person. Now Delaney has several Cocky dolls at home which she loves but the real Cocky?? She was so happy to see him. "Hi Cocky! Hi Cocky! Hi Cocky!" (Repeat 400 times)
High-fives for Cocky
Delaney and I share a super-size popcorn while watching the game.
Delaney made it a point that she HAD to go in the Cocky jump castle. Once inside, she decided just to sit and not bounce a lot.

St. Patty's Day and the other Big P
Delaney starts out the morning looking hip in her "Pinch Proof" hat and "Good Luck Charmer" shirt.
Randy and I did the 5K Run to start out the day and it was beautiful weather for once during this festival. I did really really good---beating my time from last year by 30 seconds. My time was 24:06 which I thought was great. There were over 1500 runners and 150 in my age group. I came in #9 in my age group. Not too shabby. See below story to see why my babbling makes sense....
My mom came to watch the race and hang out with Delaney. Delaney decided to take advantage of the runner's snacks that were provided and chowed down on a banana and green bagel.
Delaney and her daddy get ready for the parade. Now...this isn't a big parade by any means...but we still get pretty darn excited.
Grammy, Delaney, and Randy watch some sort of float/truck/random parade item go by.
3 generations of silly looking St. Patty's girls.
I didn't do an official costume this year like I've done the two past years (and won 3rd place thank you very much) but I still managed to look pretty ridiculous.
It seems to be a tradition now of taking the annual St. Patty's Day picture in front of Delaney's.
And if that other picture looked familiar---this one might too. You know that picture at the bottom of the blog where it is just Randy and I and I am pregnant and we are in front of Delaney's? Well--this picture is pretty similar. You know why??????? Drum roll........I AM PREGNANT!!!!! Yay!!!! I am now 12 weeks along and my due date is September 29. We will find out the sex soon and will be letting everyone know. I think girl and Randy thinks boy so we will see. I am sorry if I haven't contacted you personally to let you know this information but as anyone who has ever had a toddler knows....life is quite busy. I thought this St. Patty's/Delaney's tradition would be a good way to break our happy news. I am feeling wonderful with no bad symptoms whatsoever. Just like how I was with Delaney. This is why I am thinking girl. You know how I was so excited babbling earlier about my good race time? Well yeah....pregnant girls can run. Watch out!
