We've Moved---and Delaney is playing soccer!!!

It's official--we moved on Labor Day weekend! The girls stayed overnight with my mom on Friday and we moved ALL day on Saturday. Randy enlisted the help of several friends and family and filled a 26-foot moving truck all the way. I made about seven thousand trips back and forth from old house to new bringing breakables and animals (cat and frogs). It was an exhausting process but we got almost everything in that day. Randy had to make several trips over the next week but then we were done! No pics were taken during this time because it was too exhausting and also I had no idea where my camera was. :) The girls did get in some swimming at the new house (for the last dip of the season) and felt pretty comfortable right away. It is a beautiful and BIG new house in Melrose Heights, which is a historical district in Columbia. We have gone up to 3800 square feet which is significantly bigger than our last house and it has a playset and a pool, which is pretty much unheard of in downtown Columbia. There are built in bookshelves everywhere and we have two HUGE bathrooms upstairs for me and Randy and the girls and the girls' bedrooms are HUGE and adorable. Delaney's bedroom is bright green so she has affectionately named our new house "The Green House". Come and see us on Shirley Street!

One of Delaney's friends dads is a soccer coach and he decided to start up a YMCA team of three year olds and of course we signed Delaney up! They practice right on the field outside of daycare and then play Saturday mornings and we thought it would be great fun. Delaney got all geared up for her first practice. She loved putting on her shin guards.

Randy and Maya enjoyed the beautiful weather.

About 10 minutes into practice, Delaney decided she would rather sit in the trees. She wasn't the only one with a short attention span. Various other kids were either crying, having snacks, or rolling around in the goals. It was hilarious. We should have named our team "Chaos" but instead we are the "Explorers."

Delaney looks quite athletic in this video. It did not capture that after this point Delaney couldn't quite grasp the kicking part and would run really really fast to get the ball and then pick it up. Oopsie!
