**Wish I had pictures from what we did Friday night. Our good friends Lynn and Jean got married in Delaware in June and we were unable to attend their beautiful wedding. We wanted to do something for them so we had a party at our house with many of their friends and our friends. My mom made all of the delicious food and it was a fabulous turnout of 20 people. Lynn and Jean were so happy and Larry, of course, made a wonderful speech about how we are all connected at the party. It started with how Lynn and Jean met Randy (at an Oscar's party at my small apartment), then how when I was living at their house it set the stage for me and Randy's romance, then how Lynn and Jean's marriage should be an inspiration to all couples, both straight and gay, and basically his speech was beautiful and wonderful and hilarious like they always are. The party lasted until 11 and we had such an amazing time. Huge thank you's to Marla and Robin and Charlie and Rhett for making me laugh all night. Love you all!

We went to the Columbia Carillion Christmas Parade. Apparently this is a Columbia tradition for many many years and I have never gone before! It was quite fun! |
The parade started out with a 5K Race. Santa was in second place.... |
....with Jesus not far behind.
This is a race I am definitely doing next year. The runners were not very fast and there were not very many of them. Not to be tooting my own horn...but I would kick some ass at this one. |
So loving the pink hats and jackets. |
'El cranky one. |
Of course if it is a parade in Columbia SC there has to be really random stuff in it. Here are the local hula hooping group with a very tall Snow White hooper. |
Candy canes were thrown out from the parade. |
Nothing like looking at yourself with a candy cane reflected in the mirror. |

That night Randy and I went to a tacky Christmas sweater party at our friend Caitlin and Fred's house. All of the people invited are parents we have become close with from daycare. The moms all go to happy hour one time each month and most of the parents see each other at the soccer games. We all have become close and love doing things together. The girls decided that we needed to have our hubbies more often though and thought a Christmas party would be fun. The tacky sweater idea came up and then Randy somehow mentioned "pimps and hos". Huh?? Well---Caitlin ran with that idea and the Evite specifically said---"wear a Christmas sweater unless you are Juliet and Randy who have to be a pimp and ho". Well we combined the ideas and came up with what you see above. I have the sweater and a bling bling belt, fishnets, African princess gold hoops, and many gold chains. Randy has a hat with a button on the side that says "Get yo merry on" and a big gold chain that says "HOHOHO". Yeah---we are something. |
This is the group from the party. As you see...the rest of the group looks like an old Better Homes and Garden picture. All perfect with their sweaters.
Then...it is like a Sesame Street episode. Which one of these doesn't belong? Wait---I know! The pimp and ho! The pimp and ho!!! |
