Happy Fifth Birthday Delaney!!!!!

We always like to sing to Delaney as she is waking up on her birthday but she of course got up really early this morning. I followed her back into her room to sing to her and she decided to get dressed in the middle of my song because she was really excited about her birthday outfit.

The birthday girl in her new birthday outfit from Grammy. And I promise her room is not that day-glo of a green....

Every family member donned the new hippo?/manatee?/whale? shower cap that Delaney got from Jessica for her birthday.

We had already given Delaney her big presents (bike, dollhouse) so we didn't have much left to give her on her actual birthday. She loves greeting cards that sing so we got her a little hamster one that sings a silly little catchy tune.

That night we went to Cici's for dinner. Delaney was a little out of it and I think it was due to birthday overstimulation. The girls did enjoy mac and cheese pizza for the first time.

We got Delaney a My Little Pony book set so she could have something to open on her actual birthday and then her new personalized Pottery Barn backpack and lunchbox for kindergarten. Sniff.

A little end of the day swinging is a great way to finish off a fantastic birthday.

Happy birthday to my snuggable, funny, smart, beautiful Delaney Jeanne drama queen. You amaze me each day with your intelligence and charisma. Even though you can be a bit of a handle sometimes when it comes to treating your sister nicely, or not liking the word "no", or not listening to your parents.....you are an amazing little child and I wouldn't trade one bit of you. I love you unconditionally and you are such a ray of sunshine in my world. I love you so so so so very much.
