Pre-Halloween and the SC State Fair!!!!

Maya's faces are a little creepy and odd in these pics but she is just showing her love for our big Halloween spider friend in the yard named Sparky. We say hello to Sparky as we leave the house and as we arrive. Yay for Halloween traditions.

Maya and Mucus the Clucus. His original name is Marcus the Carcus but Randy and I could never get it right and for years have called him Chester the Molester. Maya and Delaney took it upon themselves to rename him Mucus the Clucus. Again, we have to tell him allow upon departure and arrival.

A little love for the Clucus.

SC State Fair Time!!! This year we went on my birthday which was the ONLY thing I wanted for my birthday this year. Now I am not avoiding my birthday because I am getting older, because that damn thing is unavoidable, but because after Maya's and Randy's birthdays I am just birthdayed out. We got our usual Fiske french fries upon arrival and then ran into this character. Mr. Peanut? Not sure...but the girls always love a character.

Both girls waiting to ride the motorcycles. Because the stupid carny was taking too long which caused Maya to get scared Maya decided to depart the ride before it started. Probably was best because the little roadsters were actually fast!

The girls loved this little car ride. Maya's face was pretty priceless for most of it because she was nervous but then she decided it was fun.

Delaney with her boots on the swings.

We played this game last year. It is perfect because the girls just have to choose a duck and they get a prize no matter what. Just for $2. Maya won the small prize and ended up getting the same silly fish we got last year. The carny let us trade and then told me that if we had brought the fish back this year we could have traded it in for a bigger prize. Okay carny--you try to find that little fish in my house.

Teacup Laney

We ran into Sarah Beth and Lilly and this made the girls so happy. BFF!

Sideways Maya and Lilly and sorry but don't feeling like changing! Lilly's face was too cute though.

And here are the BFF's.

Playing with and not being brave enough to feed the goats.

Goats really have a thing for Grammy.

I just think the little donkey is too cute.

Maya is really more obsessed with getting the animal food out of the machines than actually feeding the animals.

The ferris wheel is the one ride that we all did as a fam. Minus the Grammy. She stayed on non-rotating land.

Cool view of Williams Brice.

A little nervous as it got higher...

Just playing on random objects. Honestly...not sure why we even bother taking Maya to the fair. She could have fun in an alley with a box and stick.

Pizza time!!!

This child does not like getting messy.

The State Fair always surprises you. While eating our teriyaki chicken and pizza, we found a great table where this older man was playing the keyboard and singing. He was awesome!!! Great beach music.
My little dancing machine.
And the dancing continues...
Randy took the girls on some ride after we ate that would have made me hurl.

Maya loved the little car so much.

Maya was a little nervous about some other rides but she loved this little car ride at the fair.
Some "older" girl asked Delaney if she wanted to ride with her on the bumper cars and Delaney was on cloud nine after that.

While Randy took Delaney on other rides, Grammy and I took Maya to the buildings to look at a random assortment of items. This hand chair was nice.

These little dancing lights in one of the buildings at the fair provided for great entertainment for Maya--but mostly for me and Grammy.
Maya fell in LOVE with this little house. The price was actually quite good and Grammy and I were quite tempted. Randy gave an immediate NO but we will try to work on him.

You have to have a big treat at the end of the night at the fair.

Because it was my birthday I got deep fried cookie dough. Yep...it was exactly as it sounded. Awesome. Randy and Delaney didn't get to have treats because they got a little lost from us (really long story about phone dying, etc...blah blah...annoyance) but that's okay. All in all it was an excellent birthday at the fair. Happy 37 to me!!

Holy shit that is scary. My child wearing super crazy mask. RUN!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
