Random February fun

Kel-Z, Rick, and Jackson came to visit and all of us plus my girls, minus poor Randy who was working, enjoyed a yummy breakfast at the Original Pancake House. Maya tore up her chocolate chip pancakes.

Poor little Maya is dragged with me every day to go pick up Delaney. Most days she is happy and excited but for some reason she was pouty this day. Thought I would capture the sad moment.

Delaney is really reading now--and I couldn't be prouder. Her favorite books are the Elephant and Piggie books by Mo Willems and she loves this one especially "We Are In a Book". Every three weeks when we go to the library we check out another Elephant and Piggie book.
I was pulling out the girls bathing suits in preparation for summer----yes I know it's February----and Maya found this one with some stylish leggings underneath. Obviously my girls aren't quite ready to dress themselves yet because this is what happens.

New short hair cuts! Maya's short do was not planned. When she was getting her hair cut by Alaysia, Alaysia called me over and asked if Maya had cut her hair. I said no and then asked Maya and she said no. I asked her if someone at school had done it and she said no. I asked if her sister did it and she said no. But there was a big chunk missing in the back and I didn't notice because she had such long hair and it was always going one way or the other. Alaysia cut it short to balance it out. When we got home I took Delaney aside and asked her if she did it. She said, "You're going to be mad" and I said no because it was over with. She confessed to doing it and I had the talk with her about not cutting anyone or anything's hair. I then remembered about a month ago when I walked into her room and she was sitting with scissors and Barbies. There was a chunk of blond hair on the floor. I told her not to cut Barbie's hair because it wouldn't grow back. I then tried to find the Barbie with the missing hair and it was nowhere to be found. Of course not---because it wasn't Barbie hair it was Maya hair.

Delaney kindergarten field trip to EdVenture. I never miss a field trip with my girls. I love my job that it allows me to do that.

Bingo night at Brennen. It was a blast with pizza and lemonade and lots of Bingo games. The kids were interested for a while and then lost interest. The mom, on the other hand, were way competitive and had lots of cards and were trying to smile when someone called out Bingo but really we were pissed. Some Gamecock football players came to help out with the game and we of course attacked them to get a photo. I love Delaney's school.
