Summer Vacation 2010

The Roberts family plus Miranda went to Charleston for the weekend for our summer vacation. We stayed in downtown Charleston at Jocelyn's house. Jocelyn is a friend of my mom's who is awesome and has a son named Elvin. She let us have her fabulous house while she was in Guyana studying to make more wonderful paper art. We got to Charleston on Friday---went to lunch downtown, and then immediately headed out to Isle of Palms for some beach time.

Watching Miranda do the kite. The kite was a Plex (Yo Gabbba Gabba character) one that Delaney got for her birthday. It was great fun on the beach.

Back at the house, Delaney took off her bathing suit for a bath and decided to take Elvin's stuffed sheep for a spin.

We all pitched in to build a sand castle. Too bad it was high tide and got taken over by the surf. It was fun while it lasted!
