Chanukah and first session with Santa

Grammy came over to do Chanukah and we had a little dancer and Ariel to help out along with some really attractive headband wigs.

Nana was also here for the fun.
Maya practicing one of her songs for her big Christmas pageant at daycare. Poor dear---it is about Mary and Joseph but she says "Mary and Jofus". I don't have the heart to correct her because it is too cute. She also says the little baby "born" instead of baby "boy".
Waiting for Maya's dance class to start. Sidenote about this afternoon--Randy was supposed to go out of town this weekend from Thursday-Sunday for Mountain Jam in Asheville with friends. He met me and the girls at dance/piano class to say goodbye. It was an emotional goodbye for Delaney who was crying. The girls and I headed to the Rooftop at Richland Mall to meet Maxie and Ryan and have food and see Santa. Randy called on our way and asked where we were going and said he would be there in a minute. I said: "Don't prolong this. The girls are sad." He said: "Uh....I got the weekend wrong. I am going next weekend. He had everything packed and was headed to Asheville and thank goodness he called our friend Justin to see where he was. Well Justin was at home. Oopsie. Randy met us at Richland Mall for our fun. By the time the next weekend rolled around, we were much more prepared emotionally for his departure. Like...get out of her.

Meeting Santa. Delaney had quite a lot to tell him. She requested a microscope and a "bed tent". I interpreted that as a canopy, Randy interpreted as an actual tent for her bed. I won.

Maya wasn't quite as enthusiastic with Santa but still requested all Merida stuff for Christmas. Merida dress, wig, and bow and arrow.

Santa always gets a hug though.
Delaney ran into her old friend Meredith who was there with Maya's old BFF Abby and her parents Lane and Breck. We hung out with them and also ran into lots of other friends there. It was a gorgeous night with beer and I would have liked to say food but they ran out. The girls and Randy got corn dogs and I stayed a little hungry.
