Driveways and Parades

The girls showing off our new driveway. We had one put in because Randy would like to get his car off of the street. We had one break-in, and one tire slashing and he would like to move his big 'ol vehicle to a safer spot. I have the driveway on the other side but it is a shared driveway with our neighbor. Ahh...city living. :) The driveway was made by a company and of course we put the girls' names in it immediately. Randy has to build the rest of the driveway up to the fence so it might be a little while until it is fully functioning.

We took the girls to the Carolina Cotillion Parade on Main St. We met Raven and Scott (Sally and Jake) and Cheryl and Curtis (Callie and Charlie) there. Others were supposed to go but it was an overcast day with rain pending so people cancelled. We had great weather and the girls loved seeing their friends.

Delaney and Sally's friend Laura from the kindergarten class also joined the group.

Candy was a big hit at the parade.

Delaney comparing candy canes with her friends Callie and Laura at the Carolina Cotillion Christmas Parade
A little dancing at the Christmas parade.

Loving the peppermints. I told Maya not to put the whole thing in her mouth because of it being a choking hazard so she just licked it like crazy. Really wish I had a video of it.

Dancing to the bands at the parade.
And the dancing continues, with Maya joining in on the fun!

There's Santa!!!!!

Capturing all of the kids at the State House after the parade. Callie managed to snag a big white bear from a parade person handing them out so Sally was borrowing it. Were those people crazy only handing random children bears? Luckily my kids were okay with the four million pieces of candy they got.
