Just a regular week

When little Maya gets tuckered out, she gets real tuckered out.

Not tuckered out here---she is wide awake and staring at her mommy. She definitely is a mommy's girl right now. Because of some sleep/feeding issues at night, I have been letting her sleep on my chest at night. This is a habit that I want to break very soon but the little pumpking just falls fast asleep when I put here there. Then the two of us can sleep peacefully.

Mia, Maya.....Maya, Mia

These pics just break my heart because my dear Mia is now 15 years old and not doing as well. She is still eating well, as you can see from her size, but she has a hard time jumping up on to our bed and kind of limps/waddles around. She also drinks and eats while lying down which could be because she is the laziest cat in the world. But...I love her so and know that we don't have forever with her. Mia loves the girls when they are Maya's size because they just lie next to her and don't poke at her and drive her crazy--I wonder who does that?? I love my sweet Mee-Mee.

Maya is becoming much more alert and really responds to Delaney. When Delaney is around Maya turns to head to look for her and opens her eyes even wider when she hears her voice.

Maya loves the play mat, especially the monkey toy. It is interesting to see the differences between the two girls already. Delaney could swing in the swing for HOURS and Maya only likes it for short intervals at night time. Maya prefers to be snuggled and enjoys stretching out on her back.

Here it is---the moment all of us breastfeeding mothers with another child knew would come---Delaney attempting to "feed" one of her animals. Delaney has pretty much ignored or is disinterested in me feeding Maya or pumping. She says "You need to pump now?" or "Maya is hungry--feed her mommy" or something along those lines and then just leaves us alone. Until this one day where she got my Boppy nursing pillow and Maya's new pink teddy bear and got on the floor, pulled up her shirt, and asked the bear if he was hungry. I didn't stop her, I just quietly got the camera and took a pic. I figured, it's not hurting anything...she fed the bear and then moved on her merry way.
