Disney Trip Day 3

Snow White and Jasmine prepare for the Magic Kingdom!!!!

Entering the Magic Kingdom is rather unwordly. The people are lined up about an hour before it opens and about 10 minutes before the gates open they have a train go by with lots of characters on it and they sing this "Good morning" song and Mickey welcomes you all to his world. Right after we went through the gates we stopped on Main St. for our first princess autograph meet and greet. Rapunzel was there first. As you can see, Maya is already sizing her up.

Aurora, a.k.a. Sleeping Booty was next.

I don't think Maya can believe it is really her.

Cinderella was next. Maya and Delaney were both very into the autograph books. They are going to love having those as souvenirs.

The princesses like to chat with each other a lot.

Snow White was just across the street and Maya was beyond happy to see her twin.

I didn't get the picture, but right after this Snow White planted a big red kiss on Maya's cheek.

Some princesses are only out at certain times and we looked and Jasmine's window was very short. We raced over to Adventureland to meet Delaney's twin. I would like to add that my anal retentive self did an EXCELLENT job with having a schedule while we were there. Yes--going in September was much less crowded but we still needed to have a game plan and be organized. I think Randy was a bit of a disbeliever before we left about my schedule but he thanked me several times while we were there.

Jasmine was probably the most talkative of the princesses we met.

Meeting Jasmine was HUGE for Delaney, especially as she was dressed like her. Maya did a little dancing.

Family adventureland shot.

Captain Jack Sparrow at an outdoor show. He really acted and looked like the real thing.

Delicious taco salad lunch at Pecos Bill in Adventureland with of course huge desserts.

We took a train ride to see the sights and cool off for a minute. It was quite a bit toasty at Disney while we were there.

Frontierland fun

Lollipops make the world happy.

The Haunted Mansion
Before getting to the MK, I had thought we wouldn't go on what I remembered being an annoying ride. Because there was no line, we got on a It's a Small World. It was wonderful!!! Air conditioned, lovely boat ride, little singing things, and the girls LOVED it. One of best moments.
Prince Charming's carousel

Outside one of the eight million princess shops. Delaney wanted everything in every store but she already got one souvenir and we said she could only have one more bigger one before going home. We basically had to beg Maya inside the stores to pick out anything at all. Anything.

Merida!

So we met every princess but Tiana. Delaney was very sad about that one but Tiana's window was very short that she was out and about. I promised Delaney that next time we go to Disney we would find her.
Even with being exhausted leaving the Magic Kingdom, Maya still has some pep doing a little fist pump to the beat. Delaney is quite pissy on the other side.
A little bar visit before heading into Chef Mickey's at the Contemporary Resort.

Chef Mickey's is a character buffet restaurant that our travel agent recommended. Well she was right! Not only did it get us away from the Magic Kingdom, which we needed after being there all day, but it was delicious and fun. The buffet had wonderful food including shrimp and crab claws and roast beef, but great stuff for the kids. And it was so cool having Mickey and his friends visit our table. They would walk around the restaurant and each one would stop at each table to sign books and give out hugs.

Kisses for Goofy

Yay Mickey!!

My absolute favorite character is Donald Duck. My one souvenir from the trip ended up being a baseball cap with Donald on it that said "The Original Angry Bird".

Minnie is still the favorite of the girls

Pluto

After a 12 1/2 hour day at the Magic Kingdom---I have two sleeping princesses.

Look at them holding hands. Oh my heart.
