The last pool day at Whiteoak. I was basically crying through taking these pictures feeling really emotional about leaving our house. This is the house where both of our children were born and where we moved right after we were married. We have so so so so many wonderful memories from this house that I am sad about leaving---but excited at the same time about what our future holds at our new beautiful house!
Tyson's last stand
Olive enjoys her last days at her old house.
Delaney hasn't been sleeping well and is a little out of sorts with the packing and everything. We sold our couches this week which didn't help anything because she was used to sitting on them to watch movies and now there is just a big empty space. My little princess fell asleep in her chair watching a movie and was out for almost 2 hours. Bless her little heart.
My little eater hasn't minded the packing and has been her little happy self.
Nothing like a snack to make you want to dance.
A change of positions in the chair.
The last swing at Whiteoak.
Making this video made me cry thinking about how we got the playset for Delaney and she loved it and now we are leaving it. Then I got over it because our new house has a playset too. Yay!!!!
We had all drawn and written on the floor of the playset over the past year and I took pictures to remember everything. Yes, I am a bit sappy but I want to capture every moment.
Nothing like a little "padooder" (Delaney's word for the computer) time while on the potty.
Tried to capture Maya's new sundress that I just bought her. She looks a little rough after just waking up but beautiful just the same.
Enjoying a quesadilla. Not a small piece of one...a whole one.
Maya skips the baby sized portions and eats an entire whole quesadilla while answering important questions.
A group of girls got together because our friend Mary was in town so we went to M Vista for dinner. Yay for crab wontons and wine!
Liz, Cheri, and English
Nana just made the girls beautiful new dresses that match each other. This next group of pictures demonstrates how absolutely difficult it is to get the two girls to look at the camera at the same time--or actually be in the same frame at the same time.
After the couch attempts, we ended up handing Delaney my phone to play games so at least she would sit still for a minute and we could just plop Maya down behind her. Sheesh. How does Olan Mills do it?
Maya loves the fridge magnet/music toys just as much as Delaney did, and still does. A little dancing is here and some talking to her daddy.
Randy's work had a family bowling day and we took the girls. I hung out with Maya and ate pizza and Delaney and Randy bowled. Actually---Delaney bowled because Randy could never get a turn in. Delaney LOVED it and used gutter buddies and one of these slide things they use with kids where they just roll the ball down. Delaney was very good at bowling and just kept running and sending the balls down the slide over and over again.
Maya's little face (and hair) is just the cutest. Treasure.
And then we have Miss Big Smile.
I told Delaney to try and smile with her eyes open and this is what happened. She is just gourgeous. Gourgeous all of the time but especially gourgeous when she doesn't smile squinty eyed like her mommy.
