Beach Vacation Day 2

After the initial unease from Eliza was over, the two girls quickly became BFF's.

Delaney was truly enamoured (sp?) of Drew.

Maya shows off her boogie boarding skills inside.

Beach time!!!!!!!

Kite flying

Sometimes little grumpy bear needs a moment to chill.

Drew found a shark's tooth

The girls on their daddy's shoulders in the ocean.

I love my little snuggle baby so.

Building the ultimate sand castle.

Maya starts off singing Ring Around the Rosy and ends up with the Jaws theme during sand castle building time at the beach.
Maya in her "crib" reading books. She requested this task.
Maya gets in her "crib" at the beach and reads all of her books. Creepy Carrots is one of her new favorites and I walked in the room and she was reading it. Maya now reads one of the famous Mo Willems pigeons books while hanging out in her "crib".
Delaney swimming in the deep end in the pool. I am so proud of her!

My little noodle

A week ago this little girl was wearing floaties, now she is swimming solo in the deep end.
Playing Monopoly

Chillin' on the swing by the pond.

Fishing

Drew caught one!!!!

The adults always have to get silly one night while we are at the beach. Obviously---this is the one.

I look like I have had too much wine but Randy looks so cute and sweet I had to put this one in.

Beach Vacation Day 1

We decided to do a mini version of a beach vacation this year with the Crosbys. We couldn't do the beach front deal this year because of our trip to Disney in the fall so we found a great spot at Litchfield within walking distance to the beach on a fishing pond. It was a three bedroom condo and it worked out great for both families. When we got there Maya decided to dance around the living room.

Eliza was unsure again about Delaney when we got there. She is only a year older than Delaney and just finished kindergarten at Brennen.

Maya loved the rocking swing below the house.

Drew was thrilled about the fishing pond behind our house and Delaney just loved anything Drew was doing.

View from our balcony---beautiful!!!!

"I'm getting married!!!"

TRUMPS Mud Day 2013

The girls' preschool decided to celebrate National Mud Day this year....apparently this is a real holiday. They filled up baby pools with dirt and sprayed them down with water to make mud and told the kids to have fun. I thought it was an awesome idea....my little OCD Maya was a little skeptical.

Maya and Lilly opted out to play in the sandbox instead. Maya was the ONE child in the entire preschool who wouldn't even put her finger in it.

On the big kids side of the playground Delaney was a little tentative at first.

Delaney and Sarah Beth

Jacob

Apparently Daniels' mom didn't think he would do it so Nell this one is for you!

Mady and Jacob

Sarah Beth rolling around in it.

Sally jumping in the mud.

Maya and Lilly still having a blast in the sand....getting no where close to the mud.

Maya's friend Evie decided to bathe in it....

...same with Kinsey.

The big kids decided to bathe in the mud.

These three girls, Sarah Beth, Libbie, and Delaney were absolutely covered at the end. To see them on a daily basis with their cute clothes and talking about princesses you would never think they would do this....and then here they are....love it. :)
