President's Day Beach Weekend at Pawley's

Our friends Steve and English had access to their family beach house at Pawley's Island for  President's Day weekend and invited us to go. We said of course!!!!

Maya enjoyed the car ride.

Delaney enjoyed the car ride by watching movies on her Princess DVD player.

It was GORGEOUS when we got there! The kids and Drew and Eliza immediately ran out to the beach to run around.

The three "big kids".

Randy and I one day will get a good picture of us again. One day. We are just too silly.

This one be better.

Steve and English

The four of us love to play games when the kids are sleeping. On the first night we played Cranium. I forgot to check the box before we left and when we opened it there we realized it didn't have a game board. We improvised with cards. Don't even ask me how to tell you how we did it but we did. Serves me right for buying a board game at a church book sale for 75 cents!

On Saturday of our vacation weekend it was absolutely incredible weather. I'm talking shorts on the beach weather. English and I had a great run on the beach and the kids played outside all day. We found a million starfish and seagull feathers which Delaney was fascinated with.

Delaney writing her name in the sand with a seagull feather.

Maya loved the sand and hanging out with her daddy.

A little Austin Powers face. "billions and billions......"

I showed Drew the zombie app on my phone and he practiced different faces for it for hours.

How cute is this little girl......

Just capturing Maya's cute little flipped out hair do while eating lunch.

It's like a Three Stooges episode, Maya keeps trying to get the football and the wind keeps it going.....Love her.

Delaney is really enjoying kicking the soccer ball around and  loved kicking it on the beach.

We threw some bread to the seagulls and it was a bit of an Alfred  Hitchcock moment.

Delaney and I went to do a little bike ride but got sidetracked and ended up on the beach. She insisted on not taking her helmet off and went to go chase some seagulls. My "special" child just makes me laugh. She is too adorable.
As the sun went down the brews came out.

English and I and the two older girls took a trip to some  cute shops in Pawleys. Delaney found an old tree to pose on.

Before we left on Sunday Maya decided to take Delaney's bike for a  supported spin around the house.

It was a rainy drive back to Columbia but there were some interesting sights on our trip back. This sign was a highlight...one of the items listed for sale to eat is "butt meat". Got a giggle out of me that's for sure.
