Another First Day of School and Zombies

Maya's first day in the fours class at Shandon United Methodist Preschool. Her teachers are Mrs. Corley and Mrs. Susan.

When I picked Maya up from school we saw nature at its finest. A hawk eating a squirrel right next to the school. The hawk didn't mind there was a row of small children and parents watching---he was hungry. It was fascinating!

Maya on the bar at her Little Gym gymnastics class.

Little twin silly sisters.

This little outfit courtesy of big sister. Think she is too cute carrying her little plate to the dinner table.

Randy and I signed up to do the Zombie Bar Crawl with our friends Caitlin and Fred. You dressed as a zombie and met at the Tin Roof and there were 6 total bars on the crawl. You stayed at each bar for an hour and there were zombie special drinks at each bar. We could only stay for three bars because Bonnie was our babysitter and we were super lucky to get her at last minute so we couldn't push our luck. It was hysterical watching the zombies lurch into each bar and see the reactions of the bar patrons who had no idea this was coming.

Randy was a scary Carolina zombie and I opted to be Michonne, the zombie killing ninja, from the Walking Dead.

Me and Caitlin

Caitlin and Fred's shirts say "Get in the House Carl" which is a great line from the TV show The Walking Dead. They had them made for a zombie race they did last year. It was a fun night!!!

Farm Vacation

We went to a farm called Sunnyside Farms in Salem, SC to celebrate Randy''s moms birthday. We were there and Dave and the kids and Renee and Jack and his son Chip and his daughter Madison who is in college and Jack's granddaughter (I can't remember her name). We stayed at a bed and breakfast that was on a farm.

The farm had lots of neat animals including many cats.

Farm girls

Hello llama
Apparently goats are called "horny guys". Maya said "that horny guy loves me". Yikes.
There were so many hummingbirds there like I have never seen before. Tried to take picture of them.

On a hike and exploring some waterfalls nearby.

The kids were all brave enough to try the water----it was cold!

Big scary spider!!!!!
