Scarecrows and football

Every year the Columbia Historical Society sponsors a contest for people to design scarecrows for their Scarecrows in the Garden exhibit. It is at the Hampton Preston mansion downtown and so beautiful to walk around and look at all of the fun scarecrows. It is an annual treat and we love to go see them!

The Clemson Tiger football player and cheerleader was a big hit as we all took turns looking angry at them.

Delaney of course wanted to give the cheerleader a hug.

Here is big attempt to get the two girls to sit on the steps for a picture. This is a damn near impossible task to not only get them in one place but get them both to do the same thing and smile.

Just trying to show off the new Gamecock twirly skirts my friend Cathy made for the girls. Love them!!!!

Trying again for pics. Solo shots are a little better.

We had a little chocolate treat when we got home.

This is a bit of a dramatic move on Maya's part to not have her picture taken. This was the only thing wrong at the time. Sheesh.

And.....one second later she is okay. Yeah.

Grammy brought over these fabulous new pink boots for Delaney so that called for a bike ride!!

Maya got her some new fringe boots as well.

Bubba came over to watch the Georgia game with us. The girls immediately jumped on his lap.

Parks, Haircuts, Festivals, and Balls

Maya playing with her favorite toy ever---the Little People Disney Princess castle.

This is the face I get when I tell Maya to take out her paci.

We took the dogs and girls to Emily Douglas park because it is a great park where we don't have to have the dogs on leashes the entire time. Olive was thoroughly enjoying herself.

Delaney loves to walk Olive around.

Tyson had a good time too.

I finally decided to get Maya her first haircut. They only trimmed the tiniest bit because I love her long beautiful hair. As I am writing this post about two weeks later her hair has actually grown a lot longer. I guess that's what the first haircut does---gets those strands a growin'!!

Delaney got a little trim too.

Maya also got her first manicure. She selected green for the color. Punk rock Maya.

We went with Grammy to the Viva la Vista festival and Maya got a little Flounder tattoo on her face.

Delaney got her face painted a full butterfly.
Delaney, Maya, and their Grammy jam out at the Viva La Vista Festival. Delaney's face is painted like a pretty butterfly. Maya breaks it down at the Viva La Vista Festival.
Enjoying a cupcake.

Delaney on her daddy's shoulders.

I find the girls often in this position watching a video on my phone.
Maya loves this new birthday toy so much. Hours upon hours of enjoyment. She sings with it all of the time and recites lines. We hear her saying with Rapunzel each time, "This is the best day EVER!"
This is the girls new backyard game. Roll on top of the beach balls or on top of each other on the beach balls.
