This Week

Not much going on this week. Delaney was sick for about an hour on Thursday and had to leave daycare with a fever. One dose of Tylenol later, she was good to go. I think she just wanted to play with her daddy that day. Delaney continues to grow and the way she is eating lately, she won't be a petite 'lil one for much longer. She definitely has my genes---the girl doesn't chew. She just stuffs that food in.

The girls pose for a quick pic. Delaney is wearing her new Valentines outfit.

Delaney loves looking at her books now. She enjoys several books that are specifically to be read while she is eating, "Quack Quack" and "Meow" because she likes the sound effects that I provide. My meow makes her laugh hysterically. Delaney prefers to read by herself during playtime. She sits with "SnugglePuppy" and reads it for 20 minutes at a time.

Sneaky little thing is trying to climb up my leg.

Delaney sports her parents favorite teams---Gamecocks and Noles. She can be a fan for both thank goodness because of different conferences. I think she really is more of a Seminole fan though---I can tell.

One of Delaney's new favorite foods is spaghetti a.k.a. baggies. She just stuffs those noodles in and lets them hang out of her mouth. It is priceless.

Friday the 13th a.k.a. Valentines Fun

Randy and I celebrated Valentines with Trey and Kelli at Momos. It was so yummy!!!! We then went to Delaney's (the bar) and celebrated there for a while. Kelli and I partook (I know that's not a word but it looks funny) in the 2009 Guinness Toast at 10 PM. We don't even like Guinness but in the old spirit of an Irish pub we were troopers.

First Trip to the Park

Last weekend when the weather was gourgeous we took Delaney to Mays Park. She loved the swings and went down the slide twice with me. Delaney was a little unsure about the sand at first, but then she ended up playing in it. We had such a good time!

Pre-park adventure, Delaney was drinking water from her sippie cup. This is a fairly new thing, but that smart little kid pretty much has it figured out. Now I didn't say she doesn't make a total mess, but she likes it. Here she is gazingly longingly at the sippie cup which I am holding above her head.

Superbowl and 9 Month old Baby

The Superbowl was boring this year, including the commercials (except for you Boss) so the highlight of the evening was Olive and Tyson acting pitiful to get some of Kelli's pizza. Fat chance doggies. That pizza was good.

Delaney had her 9 month checkup on Friday and she is doing fabulous. She is 28" long which puts her in the 75th percentile for height. Delaney is 17 pounds 1 ounce which puts her in the 24th percentile for weight. She is a tall skinny minny currently. She also is in the 17th percentile for head circumference which proves that me calling her a "pea-head" rings true. Delaney has started eating a lot more--and her favorites are broccoli, caulifower, and zucchini. She is definitely my daughter. She also enjoys Cheerios and saltines. Delaney is babbling non-stop and is now clapping her hands with "Happy and You Know It".

Little ATV

What this video does not show is the 20 minutes Delaney spent squeaking the back of the puzzle board before we got smart and got the camera. It was truly hilarious. Delaney tends to barrel through all of her toys, like nothing can get in her way, which is why she has earned the nickname, "Little ATV".

Strolling

Delaney takes Baby Quaggle Bear for a walk and then she gets distracted so Randy takes her for a walk.

Delaney and her Daddy

When Randy walks in the room, Delaney gets so excited. She is definitely a daddy's girl. She especially loves it when he plays airplane with her and swings her around in the air. Delaney squeals and belly laughs when Randy tickles her. It is the cutest thing ever.

Randy and his too cool daughter.

Delaney checks out herself in the mirror while wearing her shades. They didn't last too long on her face because they were much more interesting to chew on.

Delaney takes Quaggle Bear for a walk. She loves her new stroller.

** Delaney has two bottom teeth now. They are just coming through so they are really small and hard to see, but they are there. She now is saying "dadadadada" all of the time. She especially loves to say it when we are in Publix to random people or random grocery items on the shelves. Delaney finally got some medicine to clear up her never-ending cold. Dr. Moore said it could possibly be sinuses. She has been on amoxicillin for a couple of days. Now---Delaney has always been a very happy baby, but since she had the medicine she is a ridiculously happy baby. She slurps up that bubble gum medicine and is ready to play all day.
