Belly Updates, Pools, and Funerals

32 weeks---I think I look rather slim in this pic. If you were to see me in real life I look MUCH bigger.

Enjoying some pool time. Doodlebug has done soooo well with swimming. I signed her up for swim classes because of family recommendation (more on that later) and we attended 3 classes. They were HORRIBLE because not only did Delaney know everything in the class because her mommy and daddy had already taught her, but the pool was FREEZING!!! Now this is an indoor YMCA "heated" pool and all of the kids were blue and their teeth were chattering. It was an overall horrible experience. So--we were quitters and just continue to swim happily in our warm, outside, "heated" pool. Moral of the story: Family is NOT always right and you shouldn't listen to them. Go with your gut. Have you seen my gut?? It knows what it is talking about.

Jumping to her daddy from the stairs.

Kick, kick, kick!

On Saturday night we went to celebrate Larry's "funeral". Our friend Larry is the executive director of the Nickelodeon movie theater here in town and he did a great fundraiser that was centered around his "funeral". There were lots of musical acts and entertainment and everyone brought "funeral" food and there was a cash bar and basically it was a fabulous night. Larry had a silent auction there of various items he was getting rid of and at intermission you could take pictures with the "corpse" for $5. I loved it! So glad I have such a fabulous God-Daddy (and you too Joe---the keyboard playing was AWESOME!!!!)

At the "funeral", there was a Jello molding competition. Now of course my friend Jessica participated in this because she is the super-duper artist of all time. She collaborated with our friend Becky to make this spectacular piece that ended up winning first prize. Yes----the head is Jello and he/she is completely edible with all of the fruit pieces.

She is a drag queen and her name is "Ima Jiggler". Brilliant.

My friend Kim belts it out on stage at the "funeral". Her version of Lady Marmalade brought the house down!!!

The former National Hula Hooping Champion, Larry Hembree, shows off his skills at his "funeral".
