June Weekend

On Friday night I had a much needed girls night out at Za's. My friend Mary is moving away soon and we went to hang out with her and eat (me) and eat and drink beverages (everyone else). We had such a good time even though I am sad that Mary will be leaving in a couple of weeks. There was a big group there but here are the girls from work all dressed up:
Katie, Leslie, Mary, me, and Liz (a.k.a. Leeeezard)

Saturday was Libbie's birthday party which Libbie has been talking about for several weeks now. Her actual birthday isn't until July 17 but because little sister is due the day before her birthday, her party was scheduled a couple of weeks early. The party was out at Hunting Creek Swim Club and it was a beautiful hot day at the pool!! Callie, Libbie, and Delaney hang out at the side of the pool.

Delaney strikes a pose next to the birthday girl.

After swimming it was time to eat pizza. Delaney wolfs down her slice of pepperoni.

Libbie waits patiently for her birthday caupcake.

Delaney demonstrates her "no hands" method of eating a cupcake. Yes---her hands are clean after finishing but her face is disgusting.

Callie tries the Delaney cupcake method.

We celebrated Nana's 84th birthday at Nutty's on Saturday night. Delaney helped her open her presents. Yes---I will repeat that number----84. The woman is amazing. She looks fantastic and has more energy than a lot of 40 year olds I know.

Nana is a little confused about the shoes she got from my mom.

We brought our cat carrier to my mom so she could take her cat Tigger to the vet. Delaney decided to scope it out to see if it was suitable.

On Sunday morning we went to the movie theater to see Toy Story 3. It was AWESOME!!!! The best one yet. Delaney ate a huge popcorn and sat on my lap for the entire movie. She was mesmerized and loved it. I was so proud of her. There were some kids who got antsy about 20 minutes in but my little doodlebug just had a blast.

Take a look at Delaney's shirt she wore to the theater: Jessie riding Bullsye and it states "Girls Rule". She is such a Toy Story fan. When Delaney was napping after the movie I ran to Kohls to do some shopping. I happened to find a stuffed Buzz Lightyear doll while I was there that I just HAD to get. It is now Delaney's boyfriend and goes everywhere with her.

***Funny story from today:
Randy and Delaney are outside playing. She asks him, "Where is the ant going?". Randy states, "Probably to go get some food". Delaney then says, "Well he needs a map".
Ha ha ha ha!!! Thank you Dora!!! Freakin' hilarious. She then came inside to tell me that she told a "joke". I love that child.

The Lees Come Swimming

The Lee family came swimming and Delaney showed off her swimming ability with her swimmie wings. She also showed off that she is just incapable right now of shutting her mouth while she swims. We are trying---but with the wide open mouth she just swallows gallons.

Delaney swimming with her best buds Addy and Emmi.

***Just a sidenote amidst the blogging---I have gotten quite big in my belly region lately. Even though I am continuing to workout daily...I believe that my tummy skin area feels comfortable with stretching out fully because of first pregnancy and is deciding to just go there. All of a sudden, I am looking quite preggers. I am sure pictures will be coming eventually. I am definitely bigger this go round but hoping it will slow down. It will right???? Right??????????

Happy Father's Day!!!

Delaney helped me set up the crib with the new bedding for baby sister. After everything was done, Delaney decided to try it out.

The big grin is a sign that she approves.

"Comfy"

We went to lunch with Bubba and Nonna to celebrate Father's Day. Delaney was slightly cranky during lunch because she was tired but she made it up to Bubba by snuggling with him after the meal.

Monica's Wedding Reception and Boing in the Pool

My friend Monica eloped with her fiance Dean several months ago but their reception was this weekend at Gervais and Vine. Monica and Dean are moving to New York City to find excitement and hopefully some fabulous jobs.
Monica is excited to see her old pregnant friend at her reception. I wouldn't miss it!!!

Monica and Dean

Me, Becky, Kim, and Steph. Our theme for this wedding was black attire with a hint of green. You can't see Becky and Kim's toes but they are green. The nails that is..........

Me and my sweet hubby who doesn't miss an opportunity to hang out with the girls.

Because it was a heat index of 112 degrees that day, after the reception we went home and went swimming.

Delaney is so brave in the pool now as you can see with her jumping in to her daddy. She "swims" across the length of the pool with either her wings on or in her swimmy ring. I am so proud of her. She is still a little nervous about putting her head under water but she will get there!

Delaney rides on Randy's shoulders while he bounces her in the pool

*** I just had to share this video. Delaney sings Twinkle Twinkle all the time and it is hilarious!! Sorry about the video quality. I was being sneaky.
Delaney jams out to Twinkle Twinkle. I have to sneak up from behind because she sometimes gets camera shy while performing.

A little more Elmo

Delaney and I went to my friend English's son's (Drew) birthday party. I have no pictures because the ones I took were really fuzzy. It was at a jumpy castle place and Delaney was a little afraid of the bouncy castles but I don't blame her. I find them quite scary too. There were lots of other toys though and a delicious Scooby Doo birthday cake.

Choo Choos and Baby Carson

Delaney proves she is a big girl and rides on the choo choo train all by herself. This was the highlight of this strange ghetto festival mom and I went to. It was called the "Ribs and Renaissance Festival". We had no ribs and no renaissance. We did have some sweat and a choo choo though.

We went out to Trey and Kelli's to visit them and see Baby Carson again. She is the cutest little thing with lots of hair. She looks like a little Trey.

Delaney giving some kisses to Carson's head.

Delaney regresses and smushes herself inside Carson's bouncy seat.
