Pajamas and EdVenture

Delaney had pajama day in class one Friday where she and her friends got to wear their PJ's to school. Delaney usually doesn't go to school on Fridays because that is when I get to have some time with my girls but I brought her to school for about an hour so she could participate.

The kids lined up to have a pajama parade. As you see Delaney brought her blankie and bunny and wore her princess slippers for the occasion. She also wore her princess pajamas with her name on it.

Dancing down the hallway during the parade.

Delaney's class did a pajama day where the kids could wear their pajamas all day. This was on a Friday when Delaney normally doesn't go to school but I let her go for an hour for circle time and then for the pajama parade past the other classes singing lullabies. Delaney loved it!

Ms. Kim loves these kids. I haven't talked a lot about her in the blog but I certainly should have. Ms. Kim is possibly Delaney's favorite person and I believe that Delaney is probably at the very top of Ms. Kim's list. They truly have a bond and Delaney spends most of the day on Ms. Kim's lap or being her "love bug". Delaney talks about Ms. Kim all of the time at home and we tend to use Kim's name for situations like "Would Ms. Kim want you to be doing that right now??". I am dreading when Delaney leaves the class, not only for my emotional well being that my child is growing up, but mostly because she won't be cuddled all day by Kim. In this hard year of moving into a new house and Delaney realizing that her baby sister was getting older and into her business, Kim has been Delaney's rock. I treasure her as a teacher and as a friend and hope she realizes how much she means to both Delaney and I. Okay....starting to well up. Just seeing someone outside of family that truly treasures Delaney is really special.

The pajama kids pose for a group shot.

After an exciting pajama morning, Randy and I took the girls to EdVenture. Maya hasn't been since we pushed her around in a stroller when she was really little so we thought it was about time we took her again. We were right. She loved it!!

Loving on a pig at the farm.

Taking care of a poor sick kitty at the animal hospital.

Delaney doing the nightly news in the TV station.

And drumming with the African drummers.

Maya....meet camel.

The butterfly exhibit is absolutely beautiful and both girls loved looking at all of the butterflies.

Finally I have a good camera where it takes no effort on my part to take beautiful pictures!! I loved being able to take these I think somewhat decent pics of the butterflies.

Maya has a laugh that can make anyone laugh. She sometimes laughs so hard it sounds like she is crying. Randy getting the dogs riled up usually puts her into hysterics.
