Beach Vacation Day 7

Of course on the last day Maya decided she loved the ocean. We found a little area on the beach that made one of those little "pools" and we sat out there for about 3 hours playing in it. It was probably one of the best moments of our trip.

We spent a lot of time finding those little "butterfly" shell creatures that dig back into the sand. Forgive my ignorance on not knowing the real name for them. Delaney was completely fascinated by them and we just kept digging them up and putting them in a bucket and she just loved it. She and I just sat together and had such a good time. Truly a memory I will cherish.

Maya looks like a cute old man in this hat. Her little face was so pink I had to keep her covered. The last three days of our trip were so gorgeous that we stayed out almost all day. The first couple of days had been overcast with rain on and off so we got quite excited for the fabulous weather. On a sidenote...Columbia apparently had monsoon weather this week with rain about every seven minutes or so. Got quite a few hilarious texts from my mom talking about the rain and trying to drive and having to be employed at Big Lots because she couldn't leave because of the rain, etc.....Another sidenote....the weather in Columbia has NEVER been rainier. It's like we are in Seattle. Very strange. Raining almost every day and ruining quite a weekend pool plans. Sigh.

Uh.....which cup be mine?

Sweet girl at our last outing to the beach during this vacation.
Maya finally on the last day of our beach trip decided to get over her fear of the ocean. And then she LOVED it!!! Oh well---better late than never!
Our friends Kel-Z and Rick who live in Myrtle Beach with their son Jackson came by for dinner and fun. We love seeing them!!!

There's Rick but of course I didn't get one single pic of Kel-Z. Next time!!!!

My sweet dancing twirling Maya dances to the beat of her own drummer.
This girl will chill wherever two chairs are available.

My child will pick up any bug anywhere. She loves crickets, ladybugs, snails, slugs, butterflies, etc....Here she is with a worm.

Jackson was very cute with Maya. Eliza was quite taken with Jackson. Basically he had lots of girls following him around.

All of the kids settled in for movie time.

My poor girls were quite exhausted from their beach vacation. Until next year......we had a blast!!!!!!
