Touch a Truck and American Girl

Just some sweet Maya.

Minnie Maya

Maya had requested a guitar for Chanukah so of course Grammy obliged. She loves to play it. And she really has the moves down.

She's a natural.

She's got the rocker moves down. Too cool.

Tux---and a little baby fish. Yes---our dear fish have mated and had baby fish. Since I am writing this post later I will go ahead and fill you in on the fish drama. We ended up having three babies (Larry, Moe, Curly) and they ended up getting bigger. We took Larry and Moe to a little lake in town once they got too big and set them free. That made all of us feel better than flushing them. :) We were getting a little fond of her fishies---surprisingly to me. Then when we went to the beach in July unfortunately our fishies died---all three. Betty, Tux, and Curly. We had family looking after our animals and I guess they didn't feed them or something happened or really I don't want to get into it but basically they were little cucoons of non-living nothingness when we returned. Sigh. RIP fishies.

Maya looks super cute once again for soccer but playing is still an issue.

Touch a Truck!!!

Delaney and her matching Laney getting ready to go to Sarah Beth's birthday party at the American Girl store in Charlotte. Woo hooo!!!!

The girls and their mommies had lunch in the private dining room, complete with seats for the dolls. The food was delicious and it was lovely. Elizabeth, Sarah Beth's mom, asked Caitlin (Libbie) and I if we wanted to go because we wouldn't have to and she would pay for the girls. We would have to pay for us. It wasn't even a question of us not going--we weren't going to miss this!!

Games during lunch

I just love these three. Friends since three months old.

Lilly wasn't too happy with the big girls. :(

We opted to have the dolls hair done. Yes--more money but worth it. The store was incredible. I was definitely living vicariously through Delaney since I loved my American Girl doll when I was little.

Elizabeth did just a little shopping.

The mommies and their dollies.

Hooping while eating a Popsicle and chatting it up. That's talent.
