Little Miss Diva

Delaney asks me to hold on one second so she can take an important call.
I just dcn't have any words for this one. Love her.

Oh---and speaking of divas, my mother has changed her grandmother name to Nanny J. I really like it. My great-grandmother, and her grandmother, was named Nanny Lane because her name was Elaine. Delaney is partly named after her. Now we have a Nanny in the family again.

My big girl lifts her head up to see the world

It's too bad I didn't capture the moment when she started laughing. She was so proud of herself. Big 'ol grin.

Friday is Hat Day

Delaney is really not happy about her new bonnet. She is thinking I am going to be one of those moms. You know....one of THOSE.
After a few minutes, Delaney realizes that she is really cute in this new look and she likes the way the hat fits right over the top of her ears. She also appreciates the matching effect with the outfit.
Delaney is totally thrilled with her new hat and has given her mom complete control of her wardrobe.

Delaney Meets Her Best Friend Jackson

This is Jackson, who is one of my best friends Kel-Z's son. He was born very premature, and had hospital stays and surgeries in several different cities (poor Rick and Kel-Z) but now is home with his proud parents. He was born at 2 pounds 1 ounce and the little piggy is now 6 pounds 4 ounces. You go boy!!!! Jackson is doing awesome and is a healthy and happy little boy----and really cute too!

Jackson is being very polite and staying awake to meet Delaney. Delaney, on the other hand, is being rude and sleeping. That's not how you treat your best friend, girl!

She Ain't Shy

Delaney shows she has no shame.

First Father's Day

Randy and Delaney play at Big Dave and Tinker's house.
Delaney is sporting her "I Love Daddy" onesie.
This is a picture of one of the pictures I had made of Delaney as a Father's Day present for Randy. I feel like I need to go to USC with this one. It could be on a t-shirt saying, "Even baby Gamecocks kick ass" or something like that. She's so cute, even when she's tough.

Two Firsts Happened Today

Delaney entered the pool for the first time. Look at cute Randy with the umbrella so she doesn't get burned. Delaney loved the water. Too bad they don't make those swimmie diapers in her size because we would be teaching her to swim next week if they did.
Randy and I get our first night out at a bar since Delaney's birth.
And where did we choose to go---why Delaneys of course, the Irish pub in 5 Points. Here is me, Trey, Aaron, Audrea, Jessica, and Randy doing a delicious lemon drop shot. We had a good time. Delaney did not go to Delaneys with us obviously.
Dude. Delaneys has the best cheese fries in the world. There was not an inch of tater on the plate not covered in cheese. How's that for a first night out? Cheese fries, lemon drops, and Irish car bombs. The Roberts have stomachs of steel.

The other children in the Roberts house are getting jealous

Olive has perfected the "dead roach" in her improv class.
This face on Tyson looks innocent, doesn't it? Yeah right. After the cat litter has been removed from his face that is.
Delaney takes her first ride on Tyson. We have discussed designing saddles for the doggies. We are just hoping Delaney is more coordinated with riding things than her mommy---for those of you who remember the mechanical bull incident. Good times.

It's hot in South Carolina. Just thought I would say that.

All of these stupid baby books say that babies don't smile at one month old. Well they can take that fact and shove it. Look at the smile on my child...priceless.
Delaney plays Super Baby with her daddy. She is not sure about this game yet.
My first lunch out with Delaney at a restaurant with my wonderful friend Monica. Oh wait. Where is Delaney? Oh yeah...it was more about us in this picture. Poor Delaney had her head cut off.

Here I am enjoying my first lunch out with Delaney at Mediterranean Tea Room. Yeah. Someone was slightly needy during the lunch. It's good she didn't get any feta cheese dropped on her head.
Delaney is looking stylish in her "Future SAWWWS" shirt. For those of you who don't know, SAWWWS is a club I am in that stands for "Sexy Amazing Women Who Won't Settle". It originally stood for "Single Amazing Women Who Won't Settle" but when I got married the name had to change. Delaney loves her SAWWWS aunties.

Almost a Month Old Now!!!!

Delaney wonders what this green bug is doing on her arm and why in the world her mother would do this to her.

Delaney and her daddy catch some Z's. Randy is exhausted from a day of work and mowing the yard. Delaney is exhausted from her trip to Nana's.

When Delaney went to the pediatrician last week, we found out she is 8 pounds, 3 ounces. Our child is definitely an eater!!!! Dr. Moore is very proud of her. Also, she is in the 75th percentile for height so we have a future WNBA player or supermodel.
I have been in a panic lately about daycares for her. I thought we had a nice church one secured but it fell apart. I am being very protective on what to do with her when I go back to work and right now I just don't know what to do. We are on the waiting lists for other church daycares but it does not look likely to get in for August. Whenever Randy and I decide to have another child, I am getting on the waiting lists before I get pregnant. Wait, why don't I do it now? If anyone has any suggestions, please let me know.
