Beach Trip Continued....

After some good sun and waves on Beach Day #2, we walked over to a restaurant to have some yummy food. Delaney took her PB&J very seriously.

We were all members of the Clean Plate Club with lunch so we treated ourselves to Ben and Jerry's ice cream. Check out that choclatey face.

Happy Ice Cream Face #1...

. . .#2...

...#3...

...and #4.

After a long beach day, we took showers and then headed downtown for dinner. We went to Tommy Condon's so we could sit outside. Delaney has a serious face while playing with her camera and doing the "froggy" game and waiting for her dinner to arrive.

Delaney was fascinated with all of the horses downtown.

We decided to opt out of doing a horse and carriage ride because we didn't think our short-attention span two year old would be able to handle it. We did run into this nice tour guide who let Delaney sit next to him and pretend she was in charge of the horses. She LOVED it and it was much better than riding around in one of those carriages.

Finally---a picture of the whole vacation crew.

Summer Vacation 2010

The Roberts family plus Miranda went to Charleston for the weekend for our summer vacation. We stayed in downtown Charleston at Jocelyn's house. Jocelyn is a friend of my mom's who is awesome and has a son named Elvin. She let us have her fabulous house while she was in Guyana studying to make more wonderful paper art. We got to Charleston on Friday---went to lunch downtown, and then immediately headed out to Isle of Palms for some beach time.

The girls on the beach a.k.a. Two Minnows and a Whale

Delaney loves little girls close to her age and chases one down in the ocean.

Playing in the ocean.

Delaney attempts to "clean" the sand off of me in the ocean.

Randy took Delaney in the waves and she loved it.

I love the Daddy and D pics.

Running in the ocean.

Looking for shells.

Watching Miranda do the kite. The kite was a Plex (Yo Gabbba Gabba character) one that Delaney got for her birthday. It was great fun on the beach.

Randy doing his kite thing.

More looking for shells.

Back at the house, Delaney took off her bathing suit for a bath and decided to take Elvin's stuffed sheep for a spin.

Day 2 at the beach and still loving the waves.

We all pitched in to build a sand castle. Too bad it was high tide and got taken over by the surf. It was fun while it lasted!

D catches some sun while resting in her chair.

Watering, Balloons, and Watermelons

When we get home from work/daycare--Delaney and I go outside to play a little and water the flowers. Delaney is such a big helper. It made me laugh when I picked her up today because her hair was up in a bun like I have done it for years. It was like a little mini-me.

Delaney tries very very hard to pop a balloon. Her lack of coordination is hysterical.

31 weeks---Did I swallow a watermelon or is that a baby in there? Good god. Tinkerbell be stretched wayyyy out.

** I must say---I went to OB appointment yesterday (8/4/10) and I had LOST a pound. Soooo---for those of you whose jaws drop looking at my belly---it's not so bad.

Fun Parties, Family Time, and Fat Bellies

On Saturday night Randy and I went to a stock the bar shower for our friends Aaron and Audrea. It was a great party at an amazing house. Here are Audrea and Kem looking gourgeous.

Me, Kem, Audrea, and Suzanne

On Sunday, my good friend Kel-Z was in town with her sister Gin and her daughter and her stepdaughter Kaitlyn. Kel-Z was bringing her son Jackson to EdVenture for the day and Delaney and I were unable to join them but I ran out briefly to see them at a restaurant. Check out Jackson!!! He is so cute!!!!

On Sunday we had Big Dave and Tinker and Dave and Mandi and the kids over for swimming and grilling. It was a little overcast so not too much swimming was done but there was playing had by all! Delaney cheeses it up for the camera.

The three cousins (Davis, Morgan, and Delaney) ham it up for the camera.

Okay---I warned you it was coming. When I was pregnant with Delaney, Randy and I started doing belly pictures of me at Week 30. Well--here I am at Week 30. I have to say I compared this pregnancy with my "D" pregnancy and I look here like I did at 35 weeks with "D". Oy.

The Last Supper with Matt, Bob, and Sue

The fam went to Villa Tronco for dinner the night before Matt and Uncle Bob and Aunt Sue were leaving town. It was an awesome dinner and we had such a good time!

Delaney thoroughly enjoyed her spaghetti and meatballs as you can see.

Capturing the entire fam was rough but I did it!

Delaney is always clutching on to Miranda whenever she sees her.

Delaney loved her some Uncle Bob even though she kept calling him "Matt". Matt is Nana's friend who is basically a part of the fam. I think Delaney got a little confused because it is two men around the same age. The difference is----Bob is sweet and loving and smiling and Matt is....well.....Matt. Love him though.

More Time with the Fam

The Foster clan (Nutty, Miranda, Matt) and Bob and Sue and Nana came over to visit.
Delaney loves sitting with her Nana and having some snacks.

The Foster group stayed for dinner and we ordered pizza. Delaney and Miranda patiently wait for theirs and Delaney snacks on some fake food to tide her over.

Cutest picture EVER!!! Delaney loves her some Uncle Matt.

Miranda and Randy always get some Wii time in when she comes to visit.

Happy 4th Anniversary!!!!! and we say goodbye to the Adams Family

Randy and I celebrated our 4th wedding Anniversary by going out to dinner to Motor Supply Company--my favorite restaurant. The doodles got to spend the night with her Grammy. I will say that Motor Supply ended up having duck on their menu which is my favoritest ever and it was awesome!!!!

Delaney finally learns to smile and say "cheese" for the camera---not sure if this is a good thing.

The old married couple show off their new matching t-shirts from my mom---"One Night Stand"----priceless. My dear sweet husband had flowers sent to me at work that day for a present because he had done research that the traditional 4th Anniversary present is flowers. They were gourgeous!!! He also did more research that said the 4th annivesary gemstone is blue topaz so I got gourgeous silver blue topaz earrings and bracelet. I am so spoiled!!!! I got him a flower card (I also did my research) that sang "Unchained Melody" because I am really cheesey---and LOTS of new clothes because my sweet hubby really really needed some. He always seems to trump me with presents. I will get him some day.

Delaney gets her camera face on and flaunts it wearing no pants and my high heels.

Delaney walks better in heels than I do.

The Adams part of the fam (Leyla, Erik, Sophie, and Miles) left Columbia first and the fam went to dinner at Harpers on Friday night. Delaney and Sophie were absolutely adorable giving each other big hugs goodbye. It brought little tears to my eyes. They were so cute together and it probably will be a long time before they see each other again.
