Ice Skating and Loving on Mia

They are doing a downtown revitalization here in Columbia with new stores and restaurants. They opened a temporary ice skating rink for a couple of months and it was a big hit. Of course we had to try it!

Here are the two skaters. I hung out with the littlest child who desperately wanted to skate but was too small. She also is clumsy enough on her own two feet so I can't imagine what skates would be like.

Delaney held on to Randy initially but then let go several times and did great! She fell twice but didn't cry and got back up like a big girl.

Really crappy video due to crowed ice skating rink and fidgety two year old in my arms but wanted to show how good Delaney did at her first time ice skating!! She let go and everything!

Delaney had such an awesome time skating. She lasted about 45 minutes which is 40 minutes longer than I thought she would last.

Here I go again....getting sentimental about Mia. Delaney and Mia are very close and the two of them together are very sweet.

Maya is now refusing to nap on the weekends. She doesn't get cranky but will get very tired. Around 4 o clock today in the middle of playing she looked at me and said "I have to go lie down right now". I put her on the couch and 30 seconds later this is what happened.

Delaney and Maya love to play restaurant with one being the chef/waitress and another the restaurant patron. They are really doing well playing together. It lasts for a while and then one screams because the other hits, takes a toy, etc....But while it lasts it is adorable.
